Give off the impression that he is fixing something that will be corrected and wont happen again.

Also makes him look really arrogant since its almost every time someone screws up.

Im disappointed because Nuss has always had a quick trigger to turn and call timeout.

He was chewed out after awful interception at A&M last year and Florida this year. You would expect the arse chewing to be the nip in the but and fix the issue. Why hasnt it? The int he threw Saturday flipped the game on its head. wouldve killed to have the three points he threw away in the 4th qtr

So if he wouldn't say anything, you'd be happy and not make a thread saying "Why doesn't Kelly chew some arse when his players play like shite" ?

The lack of transparency he brings to the media and press conferences. This whole debacle with the Nuss injury is a huge middle finger to the fan base imo

tRant "That coach is too passive, why isn't he in that guy's a$$ for screwing up"

Also tRant "Why is the coach always yelling at people when things are going to crap?"

It’s a really bad look.

And it’s usually more of him complaining than sending a message.

Yelling at your kicker for not getting the kick off before the delay of game probably doesn’t help him come back after the timeout and kick the 50+ yarder.

I think he turns into a pink tomato so much that the players and coaches dont think its a big deal if he yells at you cause he yells at someone all the time.

My boss is very levelheaded. He keeps his composure. 2 years ago, a coworker (woman) started drama and stirred the pot around the office, and he lost his mind with her. He made sure everyone in the office heard him even with the door closed.

Since then, the environment has been a complete 180 and much less toxicity. The coworker stayed employed but realized that she was the only person in our office he has ever yelled at. How embarrassing for her.

The point is, if my boss did this and lost his mind with everyone. The effect of the ear chewing he had with said employee would be much less effective since (he does it to everyone its no big deal).

No he doesn't do that to everyone, he did it to you because you screwed up royally.

Kelly yells at everyone whether its a simple error or big management mistake.
If something is a small mistake, that doesn't warrant a arse chewing. Kelly needs to learn how to pick his battles.

If the day comes where coaches can't yell in football. That's the day I quit watching. The pussification of America will be complete.

what's dumb about this? This is a huge culture issue, and I think it doesn't hurt to open up a conversation to address this.

Instead of calling it dumb why don't you tell me why its dumb Mr. . 10-year rant veteran?

As a 22 year veteran I’ll tell y you why it’s wrong. He has nothing to do with the culture or degradation of same when he yells. He’s yelling because some people are hard of hearing. As in they don’t fricking listen. So there you go. Now frick off

This is nitpicking. Coaches yell. It's okay. He got into Chris Hilton last year, and it resulted in Hilton having the best 2 games of his career to close the season. Maybe Nuss doesn't take that coaching quite as well? He has yelled at Nuss quite a bit this year, and it doesn't seem to be working.

So the player running to the sideline knows he screwed up. The arse chewing from Coach only adds to the humiliation. Now the key is how does the player respond to it? Does it motivate him to play better, or does it shatter his confidence? I guess it depends on the person.

The disrespect shown by Nuss to CBK was amazing. Nuss literally walked away from CBK while he was throwing one of his tantrums.

For the record, I don't like either of them but thought it was still disrespectful and definitely not leadership quality.
