if the transformation fails like it did with JJ, Jennings and Harris

One of these is not like the other. Jefferson put up better numbers as a sophomore than Flynn did in 2007.

Then regressed badly the next season, that was the most frustrating thing

True. That 2009 season is severely underrated by most fans though. It was the best full length season an LSU QB has had since 2006 other than Mett in 2013.

I'm sure Lindsay Scott will have a dog in this fight.

In today's day and age, ACL injuries don't mean much. He tore one last year, and came back better than ever.

he came back better than ever judging by part of the exhibition game he played before tearing another ACL?

there are a million post a day on this board yelling for a "pro style QB" and how they fit the offense better

JJ, Jennings, Russell were not dual threat qbs.

Our fans are pretty ignorant when it comes to this.

Harris isn't much of a threat at anything he does.

RP, now he was a true dual threat. Flynn was a much better runner than people give him credit for. Both those guys were capable of throwing down field and running the option.

No one else since those two were a threat at both.

I don't think one or the other and kinda hoping Etling has another year and BH learns something and they can both RS and learn then we can see who has what for real!!

Another aspect that people are forgetting. These guys aren't on campus yet. There's still a long way to go until signing day. I can easily see one of these guys flipping to another school. Especially if the coaches they've built relationships with are fired.

I take it you missed the state playoffs last year, where he amassed over 600 yards and 10 TDs in limited action, and led St. James to the state title game? Or how about this past summer, on the camp circuit, or in 7-on-7 ball where his team won it all?

I just love people who talk shite but don't have a fricking clue

all the reasons why people think/thought Harris is better.

So you think BH is going to learn how to play QB next season? Give me... hell anyone!

What are you talking about? People are talking about Brennan because he's still playing. Narcisse was the hot prospect a few months ago.

Fair enough. If that's all it is, that's fine. I'm just going by what I've read on the Recruiting Board.

Well, if people are going to judge his ability based on the failure of others, then he's doomed from the start.

I did miss the playoffs last year but I don't put much if any stock in the camp circuit and even less in 7-on-7

My comment that everyone does not believe Brennan is next in line?

Perhaps we could come to agreement if you would look up the word "everybody".

Ok well if you don't put any stock in the camp circuit then I guess you don't know much about Brennan because that's where his stock really began to rise

Ok, not everybody, but apparently quite a few.

Not to mention that they went head up in that competition and Brennan advanced.

That competition is radically different than the competition they will engage in at LSU. Who cares who is better at hopscotch. Sure the elite 11 competition involves some skills that will be used as a QB, but it isn't quarterbacking.
