Because few care about college baseball. You’re wasting emotional capital when you get invested in college baseball. It’s about as significant and impactful as rooting for one blade of grass to out grow another blade of grass in your back yard that only you can see.

Fans of like 15 schools care about college baseball before the CWS.
At least it’s up from 10

The media could create interest by covering it.
There's an ESPN property that broadcasts just about every baseball game we play in.
It wasn't that long ago where the only game on national broadcast was the CES champ game.
Once conference play starts you will see more games on main ESPN channels.
Reality is right now there is only so much bandwidth and NBA and college basketball draw more eyeballs than college baseball.

Other than these three games in Houston, ESPN is the only way to watch LSU baseball.
If you want to know how many people nationally care about college baseball...
This weekend series can be watched for free on youtube and facebook, despite the fact that a cable channel is actually producing and broadcasting the game.
It has so little sales value that they actually give it away.

Too many white males in college baseball for ESPN.
You think OAN is going to get in the college baseball game?

i guess that’s why they just starting airing hockey games on ESPN this year right?

Only way to watch? Really? Get out more.

Because that has worked so well for the WNBA.

Because no matter what rantards claim, 99% of sports fans DO NOT CARE ABOUT IT. Notice how we have over a dozen current threads on how in the hell can I watch the baseball games this weekend? Statistically speaking, there is no interest.

Well for one, its March, and the NCAA Basketball Tournament starts in two weeks

Palm Beach, congrats-and I mean that sincerely. You're a huge college baseball fan who isn't delusional enough to think it moves the scale AT ALL on a national basis.

If you are unable to realize that political and societal pressure is behind the media promoting lesbian basketball, and the NBA's continued financial propping up of the "sport", you aren't paying close enough attention.

Because it is not a majority black sport.

It really is amazing that multiple people in this thread believe this is why college baseball isn't popular.
Political grifting from both sides has done a number on y'all.

There’s definitely more TV and streaming broadcasts of college baseball now than there’s ever been. But ESPN covered college baseball on the internet better back in the day. It peaked around that 08-09 era. Then after that sites like perfect game and the others popped up and poached some talent. Seems like ESPN knows those sites do it better and they didn’t want to waste the resources on it.

I just remember my mind being blown when ESPN struck that deal that put every single regional game on TV or streaming.
In the 90's and even in the 2000's, Jumbo sports was the only "network" broadcasting regional games in the entire country.

Because statistically nobody cares.
