They know more eyes are on them. You don't think they give a little more? You don't like seeing a glimpse of possible future talents like Dee, Xavier and Smith.
It's good to see the Tigers have what looks a capable QB if something happens to Harris. You aren't interested in what Aranda puts together? I don't see how you can't get excited.

Can you really address talent thiugh?
I think anytime you get to watch practice you can address the talent out there to a degree. Is it the same as watching a real game? No, but can see what individual talent is on display...to a degree.

I never implied you were. Hopefully, we all have a life away from LSU football.

Because it's LSU football. And we get to watch it.

Tons of kids activities, locker room tours, getting to walk through the tunnel and onto the field, up close views of numerous ex-LSU players such as Matt Flynn, OBJ, Jarvis Landry, Chad Jones, Deebo Jones, Ron Brooks, etc.
Getting to sit in the club seating area and enjoy the amenities that I couldn't during a regular season games.
Plus I like to see the young players in a competitive environment.

It's the only football we have until september. IMO, only the true football fans get real excited about the spring game.

I like it for what it is. It gives you a chance to see the young guys compete, some for the first time in front of a crowd. It also gives us a chance to see some technical growth in veteran players. For example, was good to see Harris throw the short ball with better technique and control. Spring is where that work happens.

enjoy it for what it is, football in the spring. it's a chance to see the early enrollees for the first time.
it's much more inviting and exciting if changes happened in the offseason, which it did for LSU. first time to see Aranda's defense in action.
of course it doesn't matter to anyone but the team itself.

First opportunity to bet on football since the Super Bowl. Purple covered, and I made $200.

Why do so many people get excited for the spring game?

By the way, I'm not miserable. I just have a life away from LSU sports.
Please tell me you aren't the type that think people have no life because they spent 2 hours or less watching a spring game? You do realize there are no less than 16 more Saturdays before the season starts for any team right.
Watching to spring game is the equivalent of chilling at the house to watch a movie in the evening. I mean it's over well before nightfall.
If you want go know why I watch it:
-The only new college football we'll see for the next 4 months
-New guys that have yet to play in the real game. They could be guys from the previous class who weren't EEs and barely if ever played last year, or early enrolles from this year.
-Dave Aranda implementing some of his defense in. They showed a couple of things I'm excited about.

I've had season FB tickets longer than most of you have been alive, and have attended only one spring game. The only reason I did that was because it was played in Memorial Stadium, and it was something different. That is the only reason. Boring as watching grass grow, maybe more.

I'm with you.At halftime I turned over to The Rifleman on ME TV.

Dude it's football. I went when it wasn't on TV, but people need their fix. Can't blame anyone for that. What you can do is dispute the people that try and make assumptions on the future based on 1 practice.

I only recognize a handful of names on this site, and you're one of them. You're definitely a miserable frick. And I know it doesn't hurt having some random internet guy telling you that. But deep down, you know it's true. You lie in bed lonely at night, probably having a hard time sleeping. You don't know what to do or how to break the spell. So you come on here saying "frick you, message board" but it doesn't make it better. Instead, you feel even worse about yourself. You wonder why women don't like you, and whether or not you will even find a woman of decent quality. You probably won't, but a good start is to try to build your life. Away from tigerdroppings. Leave, not for us, but for your own sake.

People like to say you can't take anything from a Spring game. While that's sometimes true I remember being at the 2013 Spring game and noticing that Landry, Beckham, and Hill along with Mett were the fastest, strongest, best players on the field and really had an incredible game. I knew the offense was going to be good.

Why are you so bitter and angry?

But this time of year, especially now that the baseball team is starting to play really well, it's hard to care at all ahout football.
Baseball sucks.

I will offer a whole Different view.I think its a great tool for LSU marketing, remember its free to go in,imagine being a fan that may not be able to afford to go to a game,This is the one day a year that you can go to a scrimmage in Tiger stadium and see how truly awesome it is,for no charge.I was looking forward to seeing Etling take some reps,as well as our new DC,We had a great time and hope to go back next year!

I'll give you 3 points for effort though. You tried.
A bit of advice for you: inhale through the nose, exhale through the nose. Girls don't like mouth breathers.
