every serious ATM fan I've talked to despises Miles. There was some rumor awhile back (pre-LSU)that Miles somehow lied to recruits &/or players about something. Several of my ATM coworkers actually call him "Lies" Miles & constantly say Les has no integrity. They say Les would NEVER be selected to be the ATM coach because of his lack of integrity. Anyone know the details behind this rumor?

and the LSU fans can tell their grandchildren about the undefeated Bama season which they didn't gain anything. no SEC championship, and no champion trophy. They have nothing to show for it!!

I'm a Georgia Tech fan without apology but I've always kind of liked LSU for no particular reason. I never paid much attention to Miles until lately so I don't know all of his history. I sure don't hate him. As to the bowl game: Aside from the fact that LSU was the physically superior team and the most experienced team, I thought their coaching was brilliant. Our guy, Michael Johnson had it right when asked about the fake punt. He said that Miles was a competitor and so was he and might have done the same thing. It was our job to stop the scoring (which they pretty much did in the second half) and his to score. I think though, that people get really annoyed when a game is out of hand and the opposing team's coach goes for the throat. The fake punt didn't bother me from a strategic point of view. Emotionally though, it is frustrating and many deal with frustration through anger. The only aspect I found annoying about Les Miles was raising hell at the official over a pretty inconsequential 5 yd. penalty late in the game. Y Congratulations Tigers. I don't know how you managed to lose 5 games.

Ummmm ... we watched how well 'Bama's playcalling, especially that fake, worked out the other night, not to mention in the 4th against Tebow in the SECGC.

He has been at LSU long enough to tell if he has any gaping character flaws and I just don't see them. He is loyal, he loves LSU, he seems to be a hard worker. He trust his players and they love him. I think they think he is jerk just because they are upset about losing

It's an easy answer.
I think he is a jerk from the R-Kansas comment. It was very disrespectful. I don't think he is jerk because yall beat us cause uh....we got 2 up on yall since that comment.
ETA: I was an LSU fan untill that comment by LES and the arrogance most LSU fans have shown in the last couple seasons.

Man I was going to say the same thing.
Since when does A&M know anything about integrity?
Coach Miles is an honorable man. If he truely wanted to run up the score vs. GT he wouldn't have tried 4 running plays up the gut at the goal line and threw it in instead. As for going for the longball, GT still had their starting D in.... why not get an inexperienced QB some more experience before next season?
All season long the press has been bragging about USC, OU, UF, the Big 12 hanging points on everyone... I say I don't care what they think because you're not LSU so FU!!!

It's actually a combination of the two that killed my support for LSU. It was that comment from CLM that made me think he was a jerk though.

as for the rivals radio/Bill King smack on Les, funny you never hear that about Richt. He is preseason number 1 and is cloubered by Bama and catches no flack from King, but Les loses in ot to Bama with a mistake prone qb and suddenly we get the "face it LSU fans, your coach is not as good as Saban".

The whole state of Oklahoma hates him.. OU because he was 2/4 against them with massively inferior talent. Okie State because of him leaving them and how he did it.
The SEC hates him because he is sucessful and they think he is an idiot. The team outside the SEC hates him because he wears their ares out. He is unbeaten against out of conference opponents while at LSU.
