Why did LSU close classes well after most other schools?

I believe it Was well after other governmental functions were closed and perhaps even athletic activities shut down.

Because we are a little slower down here in Louisiana

Opening classes then shutting them down only allowed infected students to infect other students who then infect their parents/grandparents.

Should have just let students stay in the dorms.

LSU’s last day was 3/13 which is only a couple days after other schools.

Less densely populated than New Orleans.

Does it make any difference? Or are you just bored shitless because of all the isolation and so you just want to point the finger of blame on someone even though there is nothing to blame?

The virus wasn’t really in BR by then (at least tested cases)
Closing was stupid earlier

All the schools closed the same time give or take a few days...

A lot of schools were also already on spring break so technically they didn’t have to close

They didn't, pretty much all higher education closed in a 7 day period.

They had the option to do so. I have two LSU students. They both came home. The University strongly encouraged that and it was easy for us, we're roughly an hour's drive from campus. Some did stay.

Are the dorms still open at LSU?

No. Only people that are being allowed to stay are those who have the inability to return home due to travel restrictions, medical needs, or financial difficulties.

ULL kept their dorms open.
It's actually not funny since I live down the street from them.
