There is nothing wrong with Mizzou, but it's not LSU. What gives?

wants to move up, and being a RC won't really do that

OL coach or Qbs coach are generally the fastest avenues to get an OC job, and henson will be under pinkel, who has a solid offense that's a mix between the spread and spread option (more spread though)

being a good recruiter can get you a job, but being a good coach and recruiter can move you up the ranks

Now that LSU has a coaching vacancy, any idea on who will replace Henson? A buddy of mine back in Baton Rouge said he heard Earl Lane's name thrown around again. Wouldn't that be a huge step backwards for Miles? And the recruiting coordinator job is so important. The only way I could see him doing it is to keep Lane from having to serve in a purely administrative capacity.

he wasn't a coach. i dont think anyone will be filling the spot except maybe another "recruiting coordinator"

Henson was the TE's coach also.

Lane may be sticking around because his son plays at UL. Les may do him a solid for a couple years. When the UL gig is up, Lane will be a goner. LINK

I'm sitting here looking at a football program from this past season and he's listed as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator.
