Don't know if you guys knew this but Blake Griffin dove into the stands on Saturday and it was the most heroic play in the history of sports...well ever since Jeter dove into the stands. ESPN overdoes a lot of stuff, but the coverage of that play went beyond extreme. They were getting people who don't even cover NCAA bball to break down that play

New Orleans is such a unique market that you really have to be a New Orleanian from people to really accept you. That is why guys like Buddy D, Deke and Bobby Hebert are so well liked. It's why guys like Gerry V don't stand a chance. It's a very unique market
you are totally right. WWL is a heritage station. It will always be the number one station in New Orleans. It's like KMOX in St.Louis or WGN in Chicago. You can try to compete but you won't beat WWL. There is nothing remotely engaging about anybody on WWL. It's just simple radio. I'm sure Deke and Bobby pull in some nice coin for what they do. More power to them.
Kinda. I don't know too many people who like to listen to radio where everyone agrees with eachother
I'm not a big fan of Deke. I think WWL overall is not nearly as good as it could be. I think Bobby is a great analyst. He's actually the perfect fit in New Orleans. He's from the area, he's loved by most and he's actually very sharp when it comes to breaking down all sports. My biggest issue with WWL is that it is simpleton radio. No one on the station ever makes waves. There has to be some conflict to make things interesting
I thought I under dressed for press conferences until I saw Deke. One day he was wearing some baggy bball shorts, a tee and crocs with socks to a presser. I didn't feel so bad after that
I'm actually 22. I certainly don't want people to feel sorry for me b/c I'm 22. I made a choice to go on the radio at a young age so I will take my lumps. I certainly don't know everything. I know a lot but I don't think radio is about showing how much you know. Some people try to do that but I don't think it makes for a good product. It shows that you know a lot about history...but who cares? Lets talk about the here and now. Radio shouldn't be a pissing contest. It shouldn't matter if you can name the starting line up from the 1964 Philadelphia Phillies or if you were at a major sporting even that happend 30 years ago and you can repeat everything you saw. That doesn't matter. What matters is being current. Sometimes I get bothered by comments from people saying "Josh doesn't know anything about sports". It's just something you have to shake off. There are many people who don't agree with what you say therefore they fall back on the "he doesn't know anything about sports" angle

I hated Tank Girl in that movie. Aggrevating as shite. It irked me that Dottie Henson dropped the ball on purpose.
There is a big market for the college aged guys. I'm amazed by how many LSU students listen to our program. We do get older listeners as well. I think we have a good balance
