No doubt, he's here for awhile regardless.

But for all the reasons there are to bash him, the truth of the matter is that there aren't many other options that are better.

Surely you’re joking. No damn way these teams get their shite together to play the game like they do in 20 hours a week.

No. Way.

Oh, there are probably several up and comers who can do a better job. The super coaches of the next 5-20 years are almost all at smaller programs. Offer a shorter, less lucrative contract to one of them in 4 years when we shitcan Kelly finally.

We’ve been unprepared every game since BK got here. Very few were we dominant to start the game.

Bro you are implying the other SEC schools are practicing 12 - 16 hours a day. That's beyond ridiculous to suggest. That is why people are laughing at you.

I’m thinking there’s schools maybe doing …., field practice in pads, then film study, then S&C, then perhaps focused skills practice …. And that all adds up to a 6-8 hour day.

For every Urban Meyer, there are 20 Billy Napiers, Tom Hermans, Scott Frosts, Mike Norvells, etc

People need to relax. You've got an all new Defensive staff and everyone knew the talent level isn't what it needs to be, escpecially on DL and then they lose the one tackle that was SEC caliber. The defense was always going to be a work in progress with the hope that Baker could get them to be an average-slightly above a erage SEC defense by year's end.

The offense lost Daniels and 2 receivers that were essentially the whole offense and now has to break in a first-time OC and new starting QB.

Both sides of the ball have to figure out who are the go-to guys and how to use them and it takes the first part of the season to do that.

Everything we're seeing should have been expected from anyone who's watched more than a couple football games. The only real surprises are how bad the run blocking has been and how quickly Durham has seemingly taken the reigns at RB. I would maybe add that the DL has been a pleasant surprise getting after the QB, but they haven't been great against the run.

There are some very good true frosh on the roster that will contribute soon and a lot more in the '25 class, so we'll have to take some lumps this season while the O and D grow up and the talent gets back to top tier.

"Unprepared" is just a buzz word that fans use IMO.

Against USC, we came out guns blazing and methodically marched all the way to their 3. Then on defense, we immediately forced them to punt yet fans were insisting we were "unprepared."

6-8 hours a day doesn't equal 60-80 hours a week

Regardless, they are allotted 4 hours a day if the 20 hour rule a week is true. I imagine some coaches push those boundaries but not 6-8 hours a day. Too many kids transferring out for that kind of info not to get out then the ncaa would be involved.

Great post. I'd add this should have been expected due to our 21 and 22 recruiting classes, Orgerons last and Kelly's first. I think only like 6 guys are on the roster from the 22 class. The best schools stack those classes up to create depth with only the uber talented fresh contributeling. We will be there soon if Kelly keeps recruiting like he has.

We were unable to consistently match USC playmaking abilities on O and D. Actually we showboated the game away along with penalties.

They are not that unprepared. They just are not that good. BK is behind his timeline because his defensive side of the ball plan failed and he is starting over. That is all it is... plain and simple

Look at it from a 10K ft perspective. We have had more than enough offense to win almost all of our ballgames. Problem is we have not stopped our opponents from scoring just as much. Look at our pts scored metric and pts allowed metric. they are way to close together.

Blake Baker and staff are a total reset back to year 1 status. That means recruiting and portal supplements

Nothing screams “we aren’t serious about our football program” like trying to bargain shop for your head coach

You can give this excuse for one game, or even one season. This is a theme over almost every game in his three seasons at LSU

It's even worse than just House failing. I thought House was a good hire on paper based on his work at KY and don't really blame Kelly for hiring him. Jamar Cain leaving after a year and Lindsey getting sick before last season really stunted recruiting and development on the Dline.

The one thing that I think Kelly needs to reconsider is "buying players". I don't have all the facts, so I'm speculating, but maybe we need to be willing to buy high-end transfers to fill glaring holes.

Practice time is limited by the rules you big dummy. All the teams have to abide by the same rules. No one team can practice more than any other team. This is a dumb thread.
