Let’s make joe brady the highest paid OC in the nation after this year

Yeah, I mean, who wouldn't believe you that this is all determined by Esminger. He's been calling these plays for LSU for years. This new cat "Brady" is just there to get him coffee and draw up fancy Madden plays.

Might have to outbid the Saints

So why discuss it with them?
Meyer gave Mullen his first gig as a GA at Notre Dame. Then his first paying job at Bowling Green. Then at Utah. Then made him financially stable as the OC at Florida.
So yeah. Common courtesy. Unless, of course, Miss St said, "sign now, or no deal". THAT Meyer would have understood (as the typical way these poaching deals go down).

Because they gotta worry about SOMETHING ;)

He will have many options. AD’s and NFL owners love offense.
How the hell did Kingsbury get a HC gig?
Brady is a hot name.
And he may know that they key to this offense is the QB.
Burrow can run it. Are you (is Brady sure) sure any other QB we have can?

Ensminger ran the offense he was told to run last year, he is running the offense he is told to run this year.
Certainly he has his deficits, but we were not horrible, especially at the end of the year. We still were not going to beat Bama with it, so we had to change...but E was not some utter disaster.
Next year we will have CO OCs if this continues to work. After that if it continues to do well E will be named associate HC or retire and Brady will be the OC in 2021. We wont have to worry about him bolting until 2023 for a mid major job as a OC. If he is remarkably successful he may transition back into the NFL game.

Your argument is flawed in a couple of ways.
1. this situation isn't similar to LSU and Brady. Mullen was offered an HC position. Something that Florida couldn't match even if he asked. LSU can match an OC position and almost any salary offers.
2. You're argument that Mullen had like a 1 day negotiation with Miss State because Urban Didn't know he took the job ignores the fact that he could have told Urban right after he signed the contract OR that he may just be a prick who didn't care.
3. Hot coaches don't need to take "sign now or no deal" offers. Only a fricking moron wouldn't ask for a period to review a contract.

And the terms and construct of the contract are dictated (or agreed to) by the coach's agent well ahead of time.

Don't worry E now knows what Joe is doing so you won't lose both, LOL. LSU fans overreact to everything.

No its not.
There are lots of coaches who get meeting and get contacted and stay at their school.
Dave Aranda - stayed at LSu after A&M made a run at him
Ryan Day - Stayed at tOSU after the Titans made a run at him.
Realistically you aren't going to know what a guy wants without at least talking to his agent.
And if that agent is any good he is already talking to his client's current employer to see what they will do for their client.
Realsitically, coaches get poached by better schools or mac daddy offers.
There aren't many better schools, and we can match any mac daddy offers. Brady is smart enough to know that.
All of our coaches are. Which is why Raymond isn't at UGA, Aranda isn't at A&M and Brady wont be anywhere else next year.

Meyer got poached to Utah and poached again to Florida. By the time Bowling Green and Utah prepared a counter-offer, the deals were signed sealed and delivered.
Business at this level is highly competitive and sometimes cutthroat. Fair play works fine with the average transaction, but it is balls-to-the-wall for the hottest of the hot coaches. And Brady is as hot as they get.

Again, you're bringing up examples where a guy is make move to a clearly better program. There was nothing Utah could offer Urban that would make them anything more than a Mountain West program. Utah didn't even joint he Pac 12 until 2011.
Utah can't match an offer from Florida. No use in discussing it. I also don't think Urban Meyer was pressured into taking a take it or leave it offer. Florida is a premier job, and he took it, with a great compensation. He still had options thought.

And hot commodities don't have terms dictated to them.

Scott Woodward is our AD, we’re good.
If it were Alleva still then yeah I could see him fricking this up somehow.

Because he is now the hottest young Spread/RPO installer in the nation. Another school could team him up with an old hand OC (like Meyer did with Ryan Day at Ohio St, and LSU did with E). LSU has been chasing an offense like this for a decade. Many other programs have been in that same boat for longer.
Brady's agent is no doubt getting calls already.

And hot commodities don't have terms dictated to them.
And, the AD is usually armed with a 10% or 15% sweetener to seal the deal. This system doesn't work every time, but it works very often. Amazed you aren't aware that this goes on.

What does that mean? You think Ensminger can run this offense on his own now?
He's had 20 years to put together a good offense and you think he's up to date in one offseason?
If he could've done this on his own he would've done it.
