i'm just curious why our fans always fall back to the old game manager strategy. is it because it's familiar? they don't want to get their hopes up? did les miles really do that much of a number on our fans?
It's because they saw Brennan play. And, the game manager concept is the optimistic view.

Dude you don't think LSU has been trying to recruit an Elite QB to LSU for years?
LSU simply hasn't had one on the roster and so we almost have to rely on game manager types to win.

Define elite. Elite QB's only come around so often. Bama hasn't had an elite QB since Saban has been there. Should we demand good QB play? Sure.
