An even better question. ... why does a school with severe quarterback woes give their quarterbacks coach a promotion??

I would imagine he's talking about former TE/QB coach Steve Ensminger promoted to OC?

Who does this? We all have been screaming for better qb play. We got better qb play the minute Les Miles was fired.

this shouldn't be true though. good coaching/recruiting on the offensive side of the ball should be able to take pressure off the defense. is it so wrong to ask the offense pull more slack some years? you can make the cfp with an offensive minded team led by a great qb that doesn't have an elite defense.
LSU's view is conservative and dumb. "Dumb" due to ALABAMA .. when has LSU stopped them?

Why do so many fans not understand how difficult it is to find what the Rant would consider an Elite QB?

Bc many are too busy celebrating mediocrity and hoping for an 8 win season. Something about a historically difficult schedule and whatnot.

Demand in one hand and shite in the other and see which one fills up first.

Lol someone bumped this thread I made from months ago. It’s already proving relevant as many posters here are settling for McMillan to start.

Hate to correct you on the list but 2000 was Josh Heupel and 2002 was Craig Krenzel.

OK I AM NOT GOING TO READ THROUGH THIS THREAD. HOWEVER:

Why are so many of you content to (and are almost gleeful in some cases) to accept a "game manager"?

THIS IS JUST A REDICULOUS AND UNTRUE PREMISE. WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU THINK ANY LSU FAN WOULD NOT LIKE TO SEE A BIG TIME QB AT LSU? STUPID THREAD.

I THINK MOST ARE HOPING BURROW TURNS OUT TO BE A GAME CHANGER SUPER DUPER QB AND NOT JUST A RUN OF THE MILL AVERAGE QB.

bullshite

The overwhelming majority of people here will be upset if he gets the nod against Miami and would only be satisfied if he plays at a high level

DANYY ETLING was way under appreciated by most LSU fans. He was actually one of the better QB's in the SEC and better than we have had in a long time.

btw the definition of a 'game manager', according to multiple sources on the internet, is a QB who has bad individual stats but still does enough to win games. No LSU fan is looking for a QB with bad completion percentage and throws interceptions and just don't play well, etc. DANNY ETLING HAD SOME OF THE BEST STATS IN THE SEC AND BETTER THAN WE HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME! so not a "game manager" by definition.

not sure if this thread was in reference to danny etling as I did not read it.

Out of the 4 QB's competing may the best man win, probably Burrow no doubt. But who ever is the best should start whether YOU want to call him a "game manager" or a superstar don't matter.

would be disappointing if he wins the job, but if he is the best we have, then he should start of course. What do you want the worse QB that gives us the least chance to win to start because he somehow doesn't fit your narrative of "game manager". Maybe we can get Brandon Harris to return to LSU. He wasn't a "game manager"
