I suspect that most of his loyal fans have a life, unlike a lot of the losers who spend their life hoping to coach LSU on line !

NCAA and CFB programs could take a lesson from NFL. NFL has media and fans at practice almost tge entire camp and preseason. The "scrimmages" are nationally televised. Writers have actual real info to report and opine on and fans generate excitement based on people actually seeing football players play. The secretive style of NCAA/LSU just sucks excitement out until maybe week or two before the season. No reason for it. Fans are the life/blood so let them see whats going on.

he needs to be able to use the players in ways that may not best reflect upon some of them. you would make too much of someone having good stats and expect them to start vs Bama.
Let it happen. relax.

I get a kick out of people responding to folks asking for stats or complaining about how Les never gives accurate stats. For over a decade, Les has made up lies to give to the media. He understands the media is fueled by the Fans.

Instead of just saying we don't discuss scrimmage or practice statistics, he conjures up make believe and self perpetuates reasons for people to dislike him. Yet people defend him for doing something that's a bit of an assholish thing to do. It's funny how people have learned to defend him for going out of his way to do this instead of just saying, "Guys we don't give that out. Stop asking. The answer is no."

If you aren't going to do it, just say you aren't going to do it and get past it. You'll never be asked the question. If you are, you can give a simple answer that explains the reason for not doing it.

Obviously he's not interested in letting on things like giving up play distribution, run/pass ratio, etc. Somehow he thinks not providing this information is part of being s successful program.

Obviously we see it wont keep him from getting his shite pushed in on the field like its his first day in Angola but at the very least he's consistent,

Yeah, I don't get that either. I guess it's Les's way of being coy and maybe makes him feel like he's being clever by doing it? Probably laughs about it with his staff.

I'm with ya', just say we don't do it and it's over. Not that hard.

I been to several of these spring scrimmages and when I hear the stats they release I always have to laugh, because I was there and now they are BS. It's just strange.

Cause when you play ten plays of goal line. If LF rushes for 10 TDs fans may try to lynch a coach.

Or when you have a green jersey on, you complete a bunch.

You see, when it is a goddamn scrimmage, you get scrimmage stats. The fact that stupid people ask for them is why they get bullshite.

Miles should just laugh at the question

Why not underpromise and overperform? Coach should say Harris, Etling and McMillan were like 4 of 86 combined, that way when we get to a game and they are at 50% completion ratio then we will all cheer for improvement.

Why does this number keep popping up? BH was closer to 60% than he was 50%.

Also, as it has been stated before, the numbers Les gives here are probably estimations at best. But, but even if they were 100% accurate, they're also not 1 vs 1 in a true game scenario. These plays are scripted 1s vs 1s, 1 vs 2s, 1s vs 3s/ 2s vs 1s, 2s vs 2s and so on.

It's not like they lace them up and go at it like it's Saturday night vs an SEC opponent. So the stats are going to be a bit inflated.

People put WAY too much stock in these numbers

I don't know what business you are in, but do you tell the media or openly advertise your internal metrics and what you plans are to beat the competition?

Probably not!!!

Ok here's the deal for all the mouth breathers that don't understand how practice works. Les doesn't just pull numbers out of thin air. They are fairly accurate to what happened during the scrimmage. What it doesn't account for is how controlled these scrimmages are - meaning it isn't exactly like a live game. The offense might get 8 shots at making a first down instead of 3. Maybe they are practicing every throw from the 50 yard line instead of the redzone. Some of those completions could have been against 2nd team defensive backs. The point is that these numbers are meant to show that the players executed what they were asked to do in this practice, not be a predictor of how they will look in a real game situation.

Les isn't lying, you just aren't understanding how this works.

Whole lot of false logic in this post. Miles could say he's not giving out practice stats until he's blue in the face, reporters won't stop asking the question. They would just try to rephrase it. Or they'd ask follow ups that amount to the same thing.

You want him to "move past it" and not give what some people have determined to be be false stats. Maybe they're false, maybe not. But the quickest way to move on is to do exactly what he does. Come out, give some numbers, and move on.

All coaches blow smoke up the arse of reporters and fans, but people don't like Miles so they'll criticize him for anything.

The only thing we know as fact is that Adams won the bet with 7 a few weeks ago.

To be honest I am underpromising myself on how good they are going to be. 50% is the floor.
