Put Boutte back there. He needs to prove his worth.

Bech actually dressed out last night? Would have never known. Unbelievable he didn’t have more touches

Right? I think he could really still have similar role as last year, but Mason did a good job.

Put boutte on the bench. I’d rather loss than win with guys like that. Those type of attitudes is what got us here

Plenty of talent to choose from. May be Neighbors. I’ve heard of punt returners having trouble fielding punts in the dome because of the lights. Maybe it won’t be an issue after this. Damn turf in the dome may be helped cause Smiths injury too.

It was mentioned that Ryan was training with Nabors. May be him.

I worked on a movie that filmed in the Superdome a few years ago, and those lights are so blinding I don’t know how anyone catches footballs there. You don’t see the ball till it’s about two feet from your face.

Gotta be hard posting with Boutte’s dick in your mouth, but you’ve been knighting for him in a bunch of threads. You can definitely multitask.

The coaches won’t bench him, but I can definitely see him being part of the recent LSU tradition of quitting halfway through the season, so I guess he might be able to eventually bench himself.

Right. I mean it’s still not good that he muffed 2 punts, but it’s different from fielding them under the open sky. It might not be an issue again.

Hopefully Nabors, the kid that everyone on here was so excited about when it was announced he would return. He's a great player and had a bad night, don't give up on him so quick

Lol I just hate the ignorance being spilled on this board. You guys are too emotional and letting it get the best of you. None of you have the first clue as to what it’s like to be one of these coaches or players.

Exactly. And raise your hand if anyone can tell me who muffed a punt in 2013 Vs Georgia that arguably lost the game for us.

Hint he's really rich and famous now.

Some have made outlandish statements, that’s true.

But a majority of them are valid points: special teams coaching was terrible, Bouttes attitude and body language looked really bad, and the presumption that a more “professional” coach would have the look of a cleaner game (even if the talent isn’t really ther yet) didn’t happen.

Calling people boomers and old who disagree with you is like me calling you an emotional millennial. Don’t be that guy.

Edit: As far as Nabers goes, I felt really bad for him. Everyone was pissed at him in the moment, but you could tell he was distraught about it. Hopefully if he continues to field punts he’ll figure it out.

I understand that and I think Nabers can do great there, but it’s such a mental game and his role is important on offense. I don’t think he needs the pressure of returning punts. We h e plenty of athletes to do that.

Two fatal mistakes by Nabers, he didn’t take a step forward to catch the ball up around his chest standing instead of staying in his position, kneeling and trying to field the ball. Go find the guy with nerves of steel, you may not have the home run hitter but they’ll always make the catch.

That’s why I recommended Bech. I feel like he’s tough enough, can catch, and make good decisions.

I heard the dome is hard to catch in, but Nabers looked like he had a lot of trouble tracking both punts. He was running up several yards at the last second. Did not look comfortable at all.
