don't get the sunshine on Hurley. He was a 50% passer his last year in high school. He seems like a great kid with a good head on his shoulders, but we haven't really seen him play, so the expectations I read here don't make sense to me
He's so underdeveloped physically We really don't have no idea what we are getting from him. I hear people tout his arm strength and throwing ability and it honestly was very underwhelming this spring and fall from what I saw. He's going to get so much stronger physically I know it will improve but it looked below average as far as good SEC arms go. LINK

Does Haven reclassify?
That guy needs to get way more polished before he thinks about reclassifying. He's rated based on potential but he hasn't come close to reaching it yet

I've been puzzled by the fact that he is never mentioned when QB depth is discussed, not only on the rant but in BK's pressers.
I think in today's age of football with the portal and poaching players, if I had a QB on the bench who I knew was special, I wouldn't say shite. I would keep it as down low as possible. Not saying this is the case here, but I wouldn't look too much into the coaching staff of any school talking up QBs on the bench.

As for the future, isn't the #1 QB for next year's class a Louisiana kid?

Thanks for the clarification. I knew there was a good one somewhere in the pipeline, but I wasn't sure what class he was in.

Calling it now...
Holstein to LSU '26, 2 years a Tiger, 2nd year marked improvement.

In 2026 Hurley will just be turning 15 years old.

Zach Lee still has eligibility.

Beautifully said Pauv and quite true

he's not currently on the roster, and is likely playing on some other college team this year...
