Impossible to say because no real search or interview process was ever done.

Let's just say that Syracuse is looking smarter by the minute for not offering CEO their HC job a couple years ago.

Judging by Alleva's hiring history....

I'd heard the opposite. We'll never know who did / did not express interest.

I'm 100% certain CEO wasn't the best available option, though.

No, he wasn't. He was the product of a weak and incompetent AD who got his feelings hurt bc Herman wanted to talk to Texas.

So instead of taking his time after that to get the right hire, he made the fast hire to save face. No one, locally or nationally, would have said a thing if he'd taken 2-6 more weeks to get the right coach. Instead now, we see hiring Orgeron was Alleva's reactionary weakness on full display and LSU has become a national laughing stock.

Obviously every possible coach in America has a 225 area code.

I think you go after Fuentes, Gundy, Mullen.

Flecks boat would grow tiresome as hell.

Apparently Gundy was the only one who straight up said he wasn’t interested. Not sure Alleva ever had a list

100% complete false, Gundy wasnt pursued harder because he wouldnt agree to 100% keeping Aranda and he wanted Jimbo Money... that is a fact..

I could see him going to Tennessee this december though.. too many schools are about to start hiring to not get him..

I want Durkin..

Herman and Jimbo combined 2017 record: 3 wins, 4 losses

dont think people will be laughing at the Herman hire for very long...

and Jimbo.. well, hes already had alot of success.. i personally think he should leave Florida St.. I think he could have more success where he doesnt have to compete as hard for recruits..
