O hasn’t beaten Saban.
O hasn’t beaten Jimbo
O is 1-2 vs Mullen.

Is it too much to ask we actually win against arguably the 3 best coaches on our schedule before declaring him a success?

Championships are the goal!

Winning the SECW

Winning the SEC

Getting in the playoff.

Winning the CFB Playoff.

Have we changed our goals?

I will. Just as soon as Orgeron exceeds expectations and is an upgrade from Miles.

Is it too much for you to give the man a chance to get his team together. This year should be a statement year.

Do you not see the way he's recruiting right now?

know head coach Ed Orgeron is known as a great recruiter and did some amazing things especially while at USC, but what he’s doing at LSU so far for 2020 is beyond anything I’ve seen from the Tigers in all of my years covering recruiting. Why is it different? Because LSU is recruiting nationally like USC did under Pete Carroll, Florida (and Ohio State) did under Urban Meyer and like Nick Saban at Alabama and Dabo Swinney at Clemson and Kirby Smart at Georgia. LSU now has elite recruits from the following states/areas – California, Texas, Maryland, Washington D.C., Georgia and Virginia. And, obviously, it has elite players like Kayshon Boutte and TJ Finley from Louisiana as well. I’ve always said that LSU has the No. 1 in-state advantage of any school in the country and they can always be counted on to be in the national Top 10 because of it. But now that it is spreading its wings across the country, it could become downright scary

From the other thread.

All I can say is the way he's recruiting they need to get their complaints in now. I hope none of them thinks that they're going to bandwagon in later when it starts to show on the field. If I'm here I'm going to call them out everytime.

Yeh it's funny how they say O will be the death of our program and predict 6-6 seasons...since that didn't work they changed to I expect him to go to the SEC championship, playoffs, 11-1 or bust

Oh they're all for giving Herman and Jethro time but it's a big hell no when it comes to O. He has to produce now or he's a failure.

I don't think he's a failure and his time so far hasn't been a failure.

But we wasted a season moving the offense forward with the Canada hire. We scrapped what all the newer players we're learning to start over again. It was a wasted season.

Lol this thread isn’t “give the man a chance” thread.

It’s admit he’s exceeded expectations thread and UPGRADE from Les thread.

Are you moving the goalposts not only on O but the thread too?

Come on, the miles haters did the same thing every season. Yet when he won 10 games or went 13-1, people wanted him fired.

Pretty sure you were in that boat. Hell after 08 people said he'd never win the sec west again.

It was definitely a wasted season and it set the program back. It looks as if it was used as a learning experience and the team has moved on. Brady is going to be huge.

How huge do you think Brady is?

Do you think he's the difference between playoffs or no playoffs?

I liked Les as much as the next person. I was highly critical at times but I'm still a huge fan.

The team is moving in the right direction. Ed doesn't have the body of work here yet to make those comparisons but he's definitely making the right moves. Recruiting is going to another level altogether.

What's wrong with that?

It's called adjusting to the evidence.

“ he’s no longer with us”

As someone else said, it was a terrible plan. So, I’m thinking it certainly didn’t help him.

I thank Joe for his efforts, but personally I’m not shedding any tears.

I think he's paying huge dividends in recruiting right now.

As far as playoffs it's the difference between a modern competitive offense and what LSU ran before. That shouldn't even be debatable.

So you would say that you expect Brady to be the coach that puts LSU over the top this season?

Kicking, punting, long snappers and grad assistants come to mind.

“ why? You don’t do this with O”

I’ve always wanted to say this......link me to any post of mine suggesting I am not willing to wait and see.

Now, suggesting that LSU isn’t performing at the level I would have expected almost 3 years post a coaching change is not the same as being unwilling to wait and see.

What is the evidence? be careful you might just admit that the program is in a better place than it was 3 years ago
