I'm not the one that keeps crying about it. You are.

Why would I cry about the most points LSU has put up against Bama in three years? Compared to the offenses O and E have managed to put together, Canada's output @ Bama was a juggernaut.

All of the bolded players got drafted, are in the league, and/or spent time in the league. But there was just no talent for O to work with at the skill positions.

Listing Harris, Jennings and Etling as very talented players

You people bitched relentlessly about Etling when he was at LSU.

Your revisionist history is shitty. Etling was good/average. Harris and Jennings were bad.

“ Matt Canada was a God”

That’s probably a tad of an overstatement, but when he was hired in 2017 he was certainly put forth as a major addition to the coach O staff by more than a few. Least we forget, the plan was to hire coach O and then support him with the best of coordinators.

Not surprising to me the architect of that plan is no longer with us as an AD.

I think one of the most telling things about Canada is what he's doing right now.

It was a terrible experiment. If Orgeron fails, you can look directly at his OC hires. He made the choices.

Last draft had 5 offensive players drafted. All recruited by Miles. The guys that are eligible now were true frosh when Miles was fired.

He hasn't been in charge of these players' development.

It's time to stop blaming Les for Ed's failures.

Well, Orgeron could have recruited a gifted RB in the 2018 class. That would have gone a long way to helping last years squad.

And this is why I enjoy talking with you about this stuff, Rog. IMO you at least attempt to be fair even though we all have our natural biases. I couldn't agree with you more here.

Well, My stance has been that Orgeron and his OC hires would either be his undoing or solidify him as a really good coach. He chose to build something from scratch after Canada departed, so he put himself in a position to take total responsibility.

SO it's up to the offense IMO, whether he proves himself or not. I think he's done well maintaining, and his recruiting is off the chart right now, but 3 years in it's time for results.

You mean the only Offensive Broyles award finalist? I’m pretty sure we were told this was a brilliant hire until it wasn’t

Orgeron made a poor, ill conceived choice. He owned it and took action. If you will remember, Saban made a bad (incompatible) choice when he was hired at LSU when he hired John Thompson as DC. Saban realized it shortly after Thompson arrived and moved on before Thompson coached a session at LSU.

To my knowledge, Canada was not offered any jobs after he left Maryland last year.

Orgeron has made mistakes but he seems to have found his footing.

“ what he’s doing right now”

He left LSU, with an extra million in his bank accounts, and went straight to another OC gig. Then, he got tangled up in all that Maryland stuff none of which was his making. I think, to be fair, we have to wait to see what happens at the end of this season before we make any more judgments on Canada.

“ it was a terrible experiment”

I agree

Evidently this doesn't mean much anymore.

WR -Quinn,

really? he caught 22 passes for 250 yds in 25 games at LSU. He would have never been drafted had he not gone to SMU.

Oh they're all for giving Herman and Jethro time but it's a big hell no when it comes to O. He has to produce now or he's a failure. All I can say is the way he's recruiting they need to get their complaints in now. I hope none of them thinks that they're going to bandwagon in later when it starts to show on the field. If I'm here I'm going to call them out everytime.
