Who was the recruit that Cannizaro stole from LSU: Pizzing off Manieri?

I remember an interview and it was said that PM's exit interview included the "ethics of exiting."
Rule #1: Do not influence recruits one brings to a coach's previous school
Cannizaro violated or lied and took one of our committed players, I wonder how that player is feeling now!!
Deceit can be "sowed wind" that can turn into a "whirlwind." The Persians coined the proverb: SOW THE WIND AND REAP A WHIRLWIND....
When Andy C was at Tulane, he was an outstanding player. He had played his HS Baseball at St. Paul in Covington. He knows better and he made his choices.
I am hearing he is married, with two children and ONE ON THE WAY. He needs prayers.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say he needs counselling and a good attorney.

Dude is just another human like the rest of us. We are all subject to temptation. Wisdom only comes from error.

I believe it was OF Tanner Allen, but don’t know the full story.

Incarceration? Most people go their whole life without fearing incarceration
You might have some anti-social tendencies

That's not really how it happened. But okay.

They had an agreement that committed recruits were off limits and Cannizaro ended up getting Allen
It was probably Allen wanting to play for Cannizaro more than anything Cannizaro did but had Allen talked to PM about it I'm guessing PM would have been ok with him decommitting for Starkville.

I don’t understand this..
you know what happened, so do a lot of other posters.... so why try to be a wise guy and make a snide arse comment like this? Why is it so hard to just let the man know what happened? I guess if you answered the guy’s question, then your sense of superiority would be gone and you just can’t handle that?! Explain why you couldn’t just tell him what happened
Sorry, been wanting to ask someone this question for years...

It was Tanner. He went to school and played baseball with my son here in Mobile. He started all three games. 2 at 3b and 1 at LF. Im sure he is thinking twicw bout the decision. I remember talking to his dad about it last year when he flipped and he was shocked as well.

I've already explained it several times on this site, including about 2 minutes before that previous post in the other thread on Cannizaro.
Canny didn't actively recruit any players committed to LSU. Allen's mom called Canny and begged him to take him at State. Allen decommitted from LSU the day after Canny left. He wasn't coming to LSU whether he ended up at State or not. A week after he decommitted from LSU he committed to State.
Mainieri still got all pissy about it. But even if he did actively recruit anyone, at that point Mississippi state is paying him, not LSU.
