That's a pretty outlandish claim. And speed isn't the only factor, although you've cited that twice re: Faulk and Landry.

They both were plenty fast enough.

Patrick Peterson is pretty much the definition of a freak. You don't see many 6'1" 215 pound guys that are also fast enough to play corner

where SFP doesn't properly define his terms

it's not easy to define terms when you're dealing with guys from RBs to WRs to DL to LBs

I think this is one of those threads where SFP doesn't properly define his terms, has already made up his mind, and just shoots down everyone's suggestions for 6+ pages.

he was just as big, quick, strong and was faster and a better jumper

clayton ran a 4.7 at the combine

i think he has the best shot on this current team, but we've had CBs play for LSU who ran 4.65s recently

i'm pretty sure he's not as slow as chevis though

Kevin Faulk

5-8, 200 lb guy running a 4.45? naw

He's probably the overall best football player anyone has listed though. If by "Freak" you mean someone who can single handedly take over a game then KF is freaky-deaky.

Billy Cannon was a freak. He was usually the fastest and strongest guy on the field.
Jerry Stovall is often overlooked, and may have been a freak.

SFP wasn't around to know anything about him, but your dead on the dude was incredible. He would have went down as the greatest LB in LSU history if not for the neck injury.

Not sure what SFP's definition of "freak athlete" is, but for football I would have to throw out Marcus Spears.

Watching a guy his size return interceptions was pretty damned impressive.

i dont know, did he?

what is your definition of "freak athlete"?

someone that plays a lot of positions or someone that measures well in combine drills?

because you seem to change the tune all of a sudden

people who run 4.35, 38" vert and 10-6 broad jumps dont really grow on trees.
