Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn. The end.

No.
LSU struggles a lot recently at Kyle Field.

Why is Arkansas so down on this list. Remember all those great Black Friday games?

OP, I think A&M is a natural rival.
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Texas A&M
Those should be the three permanents.

I seriously do not understand why people mention OU as a permanent opponent. When we play (and best them) this year the combined history of play will be a grand total of 4 games with LSU winning all 4. Hardly a rivalry.
+OKC is not hot spot for recruiting where you want to get your foot in the door.

I want the worst 3 teams combo possible. Definitely do not want Bama. I care way more about winning, than it being a big atmosphere game rivalry losing 70% of the time. There are multiple seasons that LSU wins a Nati if Bama didn't exist.

A&M sees themselves as a rival. They are low on the list and that is why I couldn't care less if we played them every year or not. Would rather play Auburn or Fla every year.

I don’t, but I expect that we will get them.

A&M I really could care less. It’s always their Super Bowl for some reason and they’re such a bunch of weirdos. It’s hard to get into a game where you don’t respect your opponent. We will definitely have Ole Miss. I would like Arkansas as the second rival but they may give us A&M instead. Then either Florida or Alabama will make it in there for the last slot.

I agree. I can stand the culture at A&M. Rather not play them at all.
Auburn or Miss State would be my permanents. Miss St for sentimental reasons because my day played there in the 40's.

who wants A&M as a permanent rival?
And all of the delusiional rivalry pumpers can just STFU!

quote:No. That's just weird obsession from a group of Texans who can't stand the thought of losing to Louisiana in anything and are miserable because no matter what they do and how much money they spend, they're still disappointed every year. It's also there to an extent with Texas, just not as bad because they're not as insecure as A&M and at least have more to celebrate.
you would think they are playing for the inter-galactic super bowl for the universe when playing us.
Kind of like a rivalry game?

quote:Exactly, and now that Texas is in the SEC, problem solved. No need to continue forcing LSU into a "rivalry" that doesn't exist.
For them. SEC had to manufacture some rivalry for them since they left their big bro, Texas.

to me that doesn’t seem like a bad permanent three and I do remember LSU playing A&M all through the 90s

I just don't really want any big 12 team in our 3. My opinion. Look at how many times those 4 have played other. They need to stay together.
Lsu has played miss state over 100 times. Missouri and ok have played 97 times. But let dissolve those 2 games and have lsu play oklahoma
It's retarded

No way, we have to get Bama. The conference thinks of this as an important game. I mean they give us each a bye week before it.
Who I want: Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss

This. We played Moo U for 117 years and the game is scrapped in favor of Oklahoma.

Those games weren't pretty, but I remember playing the Aggies in the 60's and 70's where LSU generally won, but, in 1970, Paul Lyons whiffs on an attempted INT and the Aggie receiver walks into the SEZ for the game winning score.
quote:
A&M's 1970 win had a 79-yard touchdown pass with 13 seconds left to upset LSU (who would win the SEC title). A&M did not win another game that year and finished 2–9.
