with the "all or nothing" approach, shouldn't we root for clemson and GT to win to hurt auburn's opponent's records? that way an auburn loss to a worse SC team would maybe help them drop past us.

Of all people, you really don't get this? The humans will not let it happen. There really was no good argument for an Auburn loss. I thought maybe I did not see the scenario. I was wrong.

If LSU wins might they jump TCU to 3rd? Then AU loses the SECCG and LSU is 2nd?

If 2/3 of this were not people who have a desired result, then yes.

1. Are Stanford and Ohio State underdogs?
2. Did we play South Carolina? Georgia?
3. Didn't I start the thread by saying these were pretty obvious? There will be multiple threads about this the next couple days and some people like to see it. Plus, I tried to rank by importance.

If you don't like the thread, don't read it.

Good work...For people that stop in here once a day or so, this is good reading...

The only upet that I see possibly happening is Oregon State over Oregon next week...Auburn takes care of business over USC and TCU does its thing.

NC will be either Auburn against Oregon or TCU. Period.

However, if Auburn is ruled ineligible, It will be TCU vs Oregon or LSU if Oregon loses and LSU takes care of business against Ark and USC if Auburn is shot down by NCAA.

BECAUSE 2/3 of this are people who have a desired result, then yes.

LSU is a far more attractive team for the NCG than TCU.

I don't see LSU being able to pass TCU. LSU probably makes it look close this week in the BCS but if anything TCU would distance itself a little next week. In the final polls, TCU would have a minimum of a 1 spot lead in the computers (and that relies on an Ok State loss and maybe a Wisonsin loss). Even then we would need a 2 spot lead in the computers, which is unlikely (we need to have a team that would be above TCU in the computers, but not above use by ANY VOTERS in the human polls. Stanford is our best shot at that.

I think our best shot is the following:

1. New Mexico over TCU
2. Oregon State over Oregon
3. Oklahoma State may have to lose

In this scenario, there isn't a true conference champion in the hunt. It would be between LSU, Wisconsin, and Stanford and I think LSU goes easily.

Disagree completely.

Our best chance is the following:

1. LSU beats Arkansas
2. Auburn loses to USCe

We get voted in over TCU (which has no chance of losing to New Mexico - hope I'm wrong).

ETA: If I'm not mistaken, in your scenario, LSU would play Auburn in the SHIP. That's not going to happen.

One thing that should be considered in an Auburn loss to SC is what affect the controversy will have on them in positioning them to get back in the final.

Go Wolverines, Beavs, Sooners, Tigers and jeez, New Mexico..try to give them a good game!

I think we should pull for SC personally. AU played and beat both teams
