I think these are all pretty obvious, but I am guessing there will be 100 threads the next 3 days. I put them in order of importance (what I think).

1. Bama over Auburn. The most likely scenarios that put LSU in the NC game have AU losing to Bama and SC. Plus, an Auburn loss and LSU win all but guarantee a BCS bowl for LSU. Note: A Bama loss would actually help LSU's chances of a BCS bowl if they lost to Arky Saturday

2. New Mexico over TCU. Highly unlikely, but would be big.

3. Nevada over Boise. It would be very, very difficult for LSU to pass undefeated Boise, but a Nevada upset looks plausible.

4. Arizona over Oregon. Oregon could lose next week too, but lets get it over with already

5. Northwestern over Wisconsin. Wisconsin may not pass LSU in the BCS but they are stealing enough votes to prevent and chance of LSU passing teams above them.

6. OU over Ok State. If Ok State beats OU and Nebraska they might be a more attractive NC option to voters if the dominos fall.

7. Stanford? I am a little indifferent and the obvious choice is for them to lose. BUT Stanford won't win their conference either and if LSU managed to beat Arkansas by a lot, voters may give LSU the unanimous nod over Stanford anyway. On the flip side, Stanford could wedge their way in between LSU and Boise/TCU in the computers if they win out. Any shot in hell LSU has of passing those 2 teams involves creating a big gap in the computers?

8. Ohio State? Same deal; kind of torn. If Ohio State and Mich State win out and force a 3-way tie with Wisconsin, that may prevent voters from using the "well at least Wisc won their conference" excuse"

9. West Virgina over Pitt. Having a win over 8-3 (and ranked?) WVU team would be nice.

10. An SEC sweep over their ACC rivals (Florida, Georgia, SC, and Vandy) sends ripples through the computers and bumps LSU up even more.

So what you're saying is to root for the upset in every case except those that involve teams that we have played?

Did this need to be said?

Northwestern without their starting QB makes this doubtful. But let's hope.

1. Are Stanford and Ohio State underdogs?
2. Did we play South Carolina? Georgia?
3. Didn't I start the thread by saying these were pretty obvious? There will be multiple threads about this the next couple days and some people like to see it. Plus, I tried to rank by importance.

If you don't like the thread, don't read it.

It did need to be said. Especially since some people are so ignorant and want auburn to win just for the "sake of the SEC"

I'm sorry, but if LSU has ANY chance of making the NC, I'm rooting for that. Not for the "good of the sec"

Glad you put this all into one thread

LSU over Arkansas. Otherwise the rest of these are moot points.

I don't like auburn at all, but isn't it better that they win.

It makes bama an impossible 3way tie in case the wins are vacated.
One less bcs choice from the sec in case they don't ban auby.
if auby loses the seccg and we beat arky, we are a better bcs option than big bowl option than auburn if we both have 1 loss?

No, the only good thing about Auburn winning would be if we lose to Arky.

Sorry Matt..Cant pull for Bama no matter what.
Just the chance they could surpass LSU after LSU beating them is more than I could take this year.

I'll take my chances with a Bama loss.

My NCG already played and LSU beat Bama.

If we happen to lose to Arkansas, we would be 10-2. LSU would still have an outside chance at a BCS bowl. But the Sugar bowl would have to choose LSU over Arkansas and Bama. If Bama wins, they may take 10-2 Bama over 10-2 LSU. But of course, I made it clear that Bama is the #1 team to pull for today.

Bama win is the best.

If you believe in the outside chance for the title game ... Need bama.

If you believe in BCS non title ... ( Sugar or some other BCS) then a bama win still better. Auburn loses to bama then wins over USCe then Auburn to title game or Sugar. LSU to Orange or Rose or Sugar.

If Auburn loses to USCe after losing to bama then USCe to Sugar and LSU to Orange or Rose or title game.

All assuming win over Arky.
