Care to prove this, friend? Or are you just a name-calling coward?

How was it stupid, friend. Try to be coherent. I will assume that no response affirms you are wrong. At the time I posted that, there was NO reason to believe that JD5 would have the year he is having. None.

Obviously the defense is perhaps the worst ever in program history.

True. That’s a fair point.

You are blaming the coaches when the problem is simply lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball.

This is the worst defense in program history and is a Brian Kelly legacy that will be erased only by a NC or multiple SEC championships. Everyone, including Lester, hold your breath.

What will the defense have next year. It is difficult to imagine that this unit could be worse, but who is coming in that will make it better.

It has come to be my opinion that House's problem is that he wants to run a NFL defense but nobody has near the level of experience to run it and hence good young players look like crap and get demoralized in the game. You can tell that 50% of the players do not know who they are responsible for and look like they have never seen film on the other team. Maybe you can do that when you get players that have been in the system for 3+ yrs but not with freshmen and transfer portal players.

No, just that gets boring arguing with an idiot.

Nice job continually bumping your own threat babbling to yourself.

this tells me you know nothing about strategy or X and O's and are football ignorant.

house and kelly let a scrub Qb beat us RUNNING THE GOT DAMN BALL

you make that clown beat blitzes and force him to make hot reads and audibles.
play run first. run blitz and then zone blitz in case he does complete a pass. safer than a man blitz but we coulda mixed up better.
we let milroe run at will. complete joke coaching. who in the frick would not say ya know what? load box or roll everybody up and make this mfer beat us with quick reads and passe?

with our lack of talent that is what you do. you stop a running Qb and make him make quick decisions passing and live with results.

JD5 played really well last year. He is a 5th year STARTER. How many of those are there in CFB?

You don’t watch CFB, do you

Kelly doesn’t like playing freshmen, he will have to sign just as many transfers in year 3 as in year 1. Defensive recruiting isn’t good at all.

Answer the question, Lester. I will help you. How many 5th year STARTERS play for a team in contention for a conference title? How about that?

I agree. His top 10 defense at UK was built with a bunch of 4-5 year guys before the portal and NIL took hold. He will never be consistently effective in college the way things are today. He’s too rigid and inflexible with a system that is already more complicated than most in college football.

We need someone who runs a defense built for college football and that is simple enough to install in this era where you can’t count on guys sticking around for years waiting on their turns to start.

Dude there are like 5 in the top 10 alone right now

LSU’s best two QBs ever have been 5th yr players

Two teams in the CFB playoff last year had 5th year QBs

They are everywhere and are routinely successful

This is what smart people said all offseason.

5th year STARTERS? Please name them. BTW, JD5 is NOT one of them through no fault of his own.

Nic

says a guy trying to argue JD5 had great intermediate pass%, YPA and sack rate last year and that he processed reads fast and was great downfield throwing

look nobody is saying he has not been great this year, but arguing THOSE FACTS about last year is for a loser who does not know shite about football.
