In this scenario bush is probably pitching against auburn on saturday. Hopefully we can get a couple wins to avoid playing tuesday so that maybe hess can pitch wednesday

I think it’s going to be really difficult for us to sneak into the top 4 at this point. We’d need a lot of things to break our way.

Does Hess go Thursday or do they hold him till Friday to keep him on the same schedule and try to go against Auburn’s two?

The potential issue is not having Hess till Thursday of the SEC tournament.

I don't see any situation where Hess throws Thursday this week and then again Tuesday next week. This is just based on how Mainieri has managed pitchers in the past

true, well in that case, I think we go Fontenot. Although I think a lot of it will be dependent not just on Labas' health but also how many games we win this weekend and how many pitches these guys throw. We may be forced into a situation where we throw by committee on Tuesday. And if we win 2/3 then that decision becomes a lot easier. if we win only 1 or no games this weekend, then it will be very interesting what we do.

assuming we have to play on Tuesday, here is what I think.

Tuesday---Gilbert. Hoover Met is his home park where he pitched in high school. IF we somehow win...

Wednesday---Labas if he did not start in Auburn.

Thursday---Hess and hope we win.

FRiday (if we lose on Thursday)---Mooch

This leaves not much for Saturday and potentially Sunday.

Can you imagine this staff having to pitch six games in six continuous days?

No and I don't really want to. it sucked enough going through the losers bracket in omaha last year with Walker not available

If the SEC tournament started Tuesday, #LSU would be the No. 6 seed and would play No. 11 Miss. State at 9:30 a.m. in the single-elimination first round.

9:30 AM, frick that

I really think the SECT needs to do what the ACC does and have four pods of three teams playing round robins. The current format the SEC is using is pretty stupid. Single elimination first round, double elimination the next two, and then back to single elimination in the semi-finals.

I think mize is pitching friday for auburn and burns on saturday. So we would be saving hess to throw him against mize by doing that. I think you start him thursdAy and try to get that first game

LOL. I hate that 9:30am game but I'd be there. My annual get-a-way trip by myself is to the SEC Baseball Tournament.

I’d rather 9:30 a.m. than starting at 10:30 p.m. and then being expected to play by 2:30 p.m. the next day.
