Who regrets Penn State firing Franklin more?

Penn State or Matt Campbell?
Matt looks like he’s realized he bit off more than he can chew. He was a good coach for Iowa State and could have had a statue built for him there. Like Mike Riley leaving Oregon State, or Mullen leaving Miss State, sometimes the grass isn’t greener at a more high profile job.

They worshipped the ground he walked on at ISU. I guess he had issues with the AD and resources towards the football program. Iowa State Athletics is struggling for funding. I can see why he would want to go where he has more resources.
The guy is a good coach. He'll get things going there, but I think his ceiling is lower than the expectations at PSU.

I just don't think Campbell can be what Penn State wants him to be. He isn't the next big thing.
