While all you guys are busy crapping on Slinger, does anyone know the real story of how Brady got selected. We know they wanted a new offense and so they went to get a guy running what they wanted. In order to get him they made him a co-OC. He is also a bright young man.
The unanswered question is what was going on in practice? What were the conversations in the press box, or over the headsets?
Does anyone really believe that a guy named Slinger wasn’t looking to open up the offense. All due respect to Brady but maybe give Ensmingef some credit too

It’s pretty clear the X Factor was Brady this past season. No one is “crapping” on Coach E??

I think both are getting credit for the outcome.

ETA: Band Nerd? Swim team captain? Are these supposed to be sick burns? Bc I was a band nerd and it was awesome, and a swim team captain would be one of the cooler dudes on campus so...

Some say God himself came to O in a dream, bearing gifts and saying but one word, “Brady.”

No, the change in the offense was definitely the guy who ran an archaic offense the year before Brady arrived.

I know the real story. E and the Offensive staff visited with the Saints, along with O. They were impressed with the way this young guy presented the Saints’ offense to them.
They decided to offer.

What else you want?

Agreed however Burrow had a big if not bigger impact.

Brady obviously had a huge influence on the LSU tigers this year but someone made the decision to go with the RPO offense and hired Brady. There are many RPO offensive coordinators out there that could have done wonders with Burrow and our receivers along with a award winning offensive line.

This team came together under a very open minded head coach that made a decision to commit to a aggressive pass orientated offense and found an offensive guru in Brady.
Coach E accepted the help and our players played to their potential

Brady deserves all the credit due him but this team won a championship that all the coaches and players deserve a great deal of praise.

And it was Ensminger who actually suggested the Brady hire. Orgeron was not in the room when Brady made his presentation to the LSU staff. Ensminger was. This according to Nessler on the Rick Eisen show back in the fall based on his conversations with Ensminger. You can find it on YouTube.
