Who knew LSU had a hockey team??

I know,sweaters, but here they seem to be called Jerseys more than sweaters.

I guess that ice rink near the old Cortana mall must have shut down? I forget the name.

I’m teasing. But hope the team does well. Crazy that they have to go all the way to Lafayette to play a home game.

"Club sports" get the permission from the university to represent them and be the exclusive team in that sport. Usually, club sports get little to no financial support from their university.

I only knew because I had a buddy that played on it some years back.

And practice! The Zydeco have hold their practices in Lafayette as well.

I bought my son that jersey since he plays junior hockey, and it's great. It comes from China but still high quality.

As far as LSU hockey goes - we watched them a couple of weekends ago play ETBU up in Shreveport - it was difficult to watch, putting it mildly.

ETBU is a legit team but this was their Div. 3 team (they have both a Div. 2 and Div. 3 team). LSU actually scored first and quickly. But then ETBU scored 14 unanswered goals

I admire the players for going out there, especially since they have to travel to Lafayette just to practice. But the stark difference in an actual school team and a club team (like LSU) becomes apparent quickly. In all 3 periods, they looked pretty good for the first 6-8 minutes, but you could tell they were gassed after that.
