Lot of younger fans. We’ve had an amazing bunch of linebackers, many named already, but George Bevan and Mike Anderson together on that 1969 team were dominant. And then Warren Capone followed them.
Later on, one not mentioned is my Lee High guy, Albert Richardson. 21 tackles in a single game, and when he graduated, he held every tackling record one could have. Career tackles, most tackles in a season, in a game….he was a machine. AA in 1982. The others mentioned all stood out, now we field slow transfers from other programs. Why can’t we have have great defenses AND offenses in the same season?!?

Tommy Casanova... 3 Time ALL AMERICAN
On December 5th of 1970, Tommy Casanova returned two punts for touchdowns against Ole Miss to help LSU beat the Rebels 61-17
He played in the defensive backfield as well as running back and punt returner.

Michael Brooks!!!!!!!!!!
Tommy Cass
Honey Badger
Glenn Dorsey
Also very sad House wasted a full year of Perkins cause I think he would absolutely be there with these cats. Depending on how he’s used by the new cat, he still could be after next year’s performance

You must be a young one, but back in the mid to late 80s no one was as feared as Michael Brooks. He could take over a game and have QBs living in fear every snap.....as well as RBs. I remember one game he owned the fourth quarter. Every play, he was involved in it and he was brutal . Today he would be ejected. Sancho was no slouch either he was sneaky good.

Clarence “Night Train” LeBlanc would knock a MF out. Steve Rehage would knock a MF and himself out.

Marshall could wreck teams for sure. Then he went off and did it in the pros.
Henry Thomas could brutalize as well as any interior lineman at the time until Lavalais
The most underrated yet dominant player ever was Ron Sancho....he would always be in on the tackle and was the team leader in sacks one year
Those guys from 85-88 were some rough and tough dudes .

I watched that game at my grandparents home in Lafayette. Archie Manning was playing with a cast on his broken arm, and LSU kicked some Rebel arse.
