Maybe its just me but I remember Emmitt Smith being a beast, couldn't stop him. One of the reasons I hated the 90 CowGirl teams.

thats bullshite bo jackson was incredible. one of the most blessed athletes to ever play sports. one of the best players i ever seen play was major harris of west virginia. defense might not have been the best but chris zorich was a dominent force at notre dame.

Vince Young dismantling USC in the NCG.
It was the greatest display of skill and determination i have ever witnessesd. I became an instant VY fan.

That's a tough question.
For me, I was never more excited to have a running back coming back for 3 more years than when Dalton Hilliard was a freshman.
Going back a ways, Roger Stauback and Terry Bradshaw were incredible in college -- saw both of them play McNeese -- though at smaller schools, they became great pros.
And I can never forget Tommy Casanova. Him being on the field just felt like everything would be fine. And he could have played both ways and been All American at whatever position he lined up in.
All of the other names were great also.

Shaun Alexander. 291 yards and 4 TD's in Death Valley
That has to be the best performance by a freshman ever.

I was fortunate enough to see "Sweetness," Walter Payton, playing for Jackson State back in the day. He was amazing then, and continued to be throughout his pro career. Definitely one of the best ever!
