Probably Joe DiMaggio or Babe Ruth. Although I don't think we ever had a chance at either one.

I am. I signed in 1955 my freshman year. Never played for LSU but was on scholarship when freshmen couldnt play

I remember Delino DeShields Jr. signing with us. It became fashionable for guys to use LSU as leverage for their pro contract, so I'm sure there's a pretty good list.

I believe Delino Jr. did sign. He played here in Atlanta. Also got former reliever Steve Bedrosian's son out of the Atl that same yr. Both went pro.
