This is what it all boils down to...but a lot of people here don't understand that. We simply don't have the Jimmy's and Joe's to compete with most of the SEC, which this year might be the best conference in the history of college basketball, top to bottom. It is amazing how great a coach can look with a few superstars on the team, and a coach who can motivate them.

Yeah, let's judge him off of 1 home game. I like their team a lot, but again, he has some great players.

I'm 59. I watched as we lost in 1981 and 1986.
The SEC may in fact break a record in terms of number of teams invited to the Trny. It isn't me saying that btw, the media is all over it, and some of them are long-time ACC lovers.
There are probably 5-6 teams that COULD win the championship from the SEC. There are probably 6-8 teams that could win the SEC championship.
It is unbelievably deep.
It sounds to me like you think you are some basketball expert, and specifically LSU. I hate to burst your bubble, you aren't. I was there many of games when Daddy Dale was making his run. People hate on him, but if the kids of today that think Will Wade is so incredible, would have had a taste of the success of Brown in his prime.....they would understand.

What about Greg Marshall? I’m not saying he is a back the truck up kind of hire But he did some pretty good things at Wichita state when he was there. Has it been long enough since his discretions for someone to give him another chance?

Yep. It's truly ASTONISHING how many people who post here are clueless about how the world really works.
Either that, or they hate basketball and don't want LSU to win big at it again.
