This is the most entertaining thread I have read on this site in some time. Thank you for posing the question, WV guy! We have Green-Weenies, Ole Piss, Jorts Wearers, and "F--ing Alabama" (as Coach Miles put it) on our radar screens all the time. But for pure desire-for-payback, it's hard to top our disdain for the blue & orange Alabama school that doesn't quite know what its mascot is.

Growing up in the 60's and 70's, it was all about Tulane. Not that Tulane was beating LSU (There was a 19 year span where Tulane couldn't beat LSU.), but there were plenty of Tulane families around the state, and they were rabid fans.
Ole Miss was the most hated rival that was on an even playing field. The Archie Who and Bert Jones years were brutal.
Alabama was the bigger-than-us rival. Cholly Mac struggled against Bear, year after year. It seemed that Bama was the reason that LSU couldn't get into the National Championship picture.

From my youth, Ole Miss (60's). Tulane was an assumed 62-0 win back then.
In later years, Alabama, especially after the 70's with over 10 straight losses.
More recently, Auburn and Florida.
But the bottom line, we don't have anyone that is the most hated year in and year out.
TAM will come close if they come in to the SEC.

As for the OP's question, I truly believe Texas A&M will be our most hated rival when they get into the SEC. Give it 2-3 years tops. Their passionate fanbase, along with their undeserved sense of entitlement and a keenly-sharpened little brother syndrome courtesy of Texas will make them an insufferable and delightfully hateable rival for years to come.

Dude LSU no longer hates Ole Miss...they are completely irrelevant. We hate their fans...but as far as the rivalry, it's close to dead.
Bama is the #1 hated team...either that or LSU sportshop hates them, cuz that's what most of the shirts I see are saying

bAUlburn for me, most of my life, the mascot identity retardation is what irks me, and all the whining about being undefeated and not respected( If they would stop buying players and recruit, they wouldn't have that problem!)I kinda laughed when the bammer fan poisoned their tree!
I dated a AU fan back in 2001 when they beat us, she gloated about it in my familys' house, I think she is still looking for a ride back to Pensacola, where we were stationed together!

TO be honest we have no real rivalary. We are just a damn strong football team that in the words of coach les miles "Loves to compete, I promise you."
You see while Alabama have Auburn. Florida have Georgia. Tenn has florida also. Arkansas hate Texas even though they are gone from the SWC bitter feelings linger. Oles miss and Miss St hate each other more then ole miss hates LSU.
LSU really have nobody, we have teams we like to match up against and pull against but intense hatred? Not really. Which make us the wild card in the SEC for ages and which CLM enjoys being.
How many other team out there can claim they play power houses like Florida, Alabama year in year out? Occasional we would battle UT and UGA. Add to the always unpredictable hogs and you got a good mix of healthy competition for LSU.
