Depending on weather, be prepared to be stunned at how hot the Carrier Dome can get.

I'm expecting it to be packed on Friday night, be prepared to wait at least an hour or two. Even the bar area will be crowded, but it might be a little quicker of a wait.

If you're in syracuse early, I'd say maybe get there around 4:30 or 5 to at least beat some of the dinner rush. Once you have a table you can take as long as you need. Also they do not take reservations so it's first come first serve

Flying into Newark Friday morning. Staying in NYC through Monday, will probably only be in Syracuse for the game, maybe a little before and after.

I'm in – hell this is as close as I get to a home game since I live in the great white north. I see some are coming into BLo and N Falls, if someone needs info about the area or wants to catch a beverage etc let me know (send me a PM), I live in the Niagara falls area.

Driving up Fri, planning on Dinosaur bbq, tailgate at skytop sat (noon game is not sporty), head home Sunday. Weather looks great and Tigahs look even better after Aubie game

What's the best place to tailgate before the game?

Also, are there bars around the stadium?

Sounds like a lot of people are tailgating at skytop, which is easy with the free shuttle over to campus. There's also going to be some syracuse people tailgating by the quad (middle of campus), the lots by the dome, and under I-81.

Bars, there's chucks and faegans off marshall street but I'm not sure how early they open on gamedays. Chucks will be your go to if you're still in college and want cheap pitchers and massive TVs, faegans is the slightly older crowd with a great selection of beers on tap.

Whoever is in charge of concessions at the Dome better buy a lot more beer since they will be selling it during the game. Those folks in Seattle were blown away over how much beer LSU fans drank & more than a few bars ran out Friday nite. Kells Irish Pub said they sold more beer that Friday then they average on a wkend. And were amazed to see LSU fans lined up the next morning before it opened prior to the game.

I'll be at dino or pastabilities friday night, you may see me and a few syracuse friends there

Keep us updated on where you're going. I have no idea where were going. All I know is my flight lands shortly after 6pm and we will check in our hotel and then go out looking for good food and beer.

Yes please keep everyone updated. I think we are looking at Dinosaur BBQ for our Prayer Meeting with our 1st Holy Water Patron shots about 9:00....unless there is another area with a bar scene

I'm late replying to this but I just got cleared to post: go to Chuck's if you enjoy the smell of urine while you drink your beer.

I'm not a Chuck's fan. Faegan's is great, but can be tough to find a spot as it's a little small. Chuck's is a much more open floorplan, which is probably part of the reason it's so popular on gamedays.

Hope everyone enjoys their time in Syracuse. I'd love to see SU win, but frankly, I'm a realist and we're without several of our best players. With them, we'd have had maybe a 5% chance at an upset. Without them? Just don't see any possible way it happens. Our QB1 (Eric Dungey), WR1 (Steve Ishmael), and one of our best playmakers (Erv Philips) could all miss the game, and since I've been tossing this line around, and since I like quoting myself apparently: it's awfully hard taking down a Tiger when you've got no bullets in your gun.

jekelish,

Is that an Ishmael from the legendary football family?

Also, for all ITT, check out Armory Square on Friday night and/or Sat night after the game.

Headed over through Canada from Michigan. Niagara Falls on Th and Fr. morning. Will be in Syracuse early afternoon Fr through Sunday. Will be wanting to set up for tailgate near Tiger Fans on Sat morning. I keep hearing about a sky deck or something but that sounds like a parking garage - any suggestions?

@Guava Jelly

You know anyone else driving out there from Boston? I just moved to Cambridge and would prefer not to make the roundtrip by myself.
