lost 4 openers in a row let’s all pump the breaks
Why be such a Debbie Downer? If others are like me, I’m excited because it’s Vegas, Allegiant Stadium, LSU vs USC! What’s their to pump the brakes about?

IMO, this opener is the most important opener in awhile. If we lose in Vegas, I believe we'll have no shot at making the CFP. I say that because losing to a depleted SoCal team at a neutral site most likely means we'll lose 2-3 more games to teams better than us.
Losing to SoCal means (to me) the best we can do is 9-3 and that will NOT make the CFP. If we beat SoCal, I see us 11-1 or 10-2 with a real shot at the CFP.
Remember we must either be SEC Champs OR in the top 11 to get into the CFP. If we end up with a conference champion at 9-3 (could happen) we'd need to finish in the top 10 if we aren't SEC champs.
We need to remember its not just who is the best 12 teams. 4 conference champs get the top 4 bye/seeds even if their record does not earn that position.

I’d be much more excited if the game were in Tiger Stadium…or the L.A. Coliseum. The neutral site games feel like “manufactured excitement”…which, ironically, is pretty on brand for Las Vegas.
I understand why the schools choose to participate in neutral site games. But in a sport that prides itself so much on tradition, playing a game at essentially a vacation spot where the local populace is largely indifferent strays away from that general sense

Never been to Vegas and only one away game (last year - Bama) so hell yes I'm pumped.

This doesn’t sound accurate.

From the CFP website...
The four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded one through four and will receive a first-round bye. The fifth conference champion will be seeded where it was ranked or at No. 12 if it is outside the top 12 rankings. Non-conference champions ranked in the top four will be seeded beginning at No. 5. Because of this, the seeding, 1 through 12, could look different than the final rankings.

I can see that point of view… I think I agree when the neutral site is a “generic” place like Dallas or Houston or Orlando…. But these interesting/unique one-time places like Lambeau and Vegas are definitely okay with me… same for a potential game in Europe
I do wish we played in Nola at least once a year though

ticket prices are really high. I’m waiting to buy mine on stubhub the day before. Prices should go down.. hopefully
People say they go down the day before or the day of but they never actually go down. I’ve done this for a couple games to test the theory and they are still expensive as shite. They really don’t drop much if any at all.

Depends where you go to gamble. High end strip casinos could be 100 or more at the table.
I've been to Vegas more times than I can count and I've never seen a casino without at least a few $25 tables, but they are likely to be 6/5 tables. For a 3/2 table, it will probably be $50 minimum.
I've never seen any casino in Las Vegas, and I've been to almost all of them, with only $100 or higher minimums.

Idk this game seems like a gamble. It's really all up to chance. Like a roll of the dice.
