The fact that Stud the Dud won't be calling plays will automatically assure Mett has a great year.

Yes, its that simple

So let it be written.

The 2012 OL underachieved IMO, expecially in pass protection. It is time for Stud to concentrate on his position duties and our OC to figure out how to get the OL and Mett on the same page when it comes to handling SEC pass rushes. Footwork and decisiveness with timing routes will be just as important.

As for a prediction... I have no idea. It seems that every time I predict good Q play, I get disappointed. I'll just go with a Flynn like performance and say that he will show his experience by exhibiting good decision making and clutch throws to go with a consistency that allows his receivers to get into the kind of rhythm that will allow them to come down with those clutch catches on those clutch throws thus giving Mett pretty good season ending stats to go along with an undefeated record, an SEC Championship ring and a little Crystal to boot.

With Cam calling the plays and the receivers with another year under their belt, how could he not be better? I think the entire offense will be improved.

With Mett having a full year of SEC under his belt, Cam Cameron offense added, and better line production, we will see Mett take a huge leap forward this year...

all signs point to a much better year. he had a respectable year last year, but he wasn't the "Mettsiah" people thought he'd be.

New Coordinator, better offensive line, a whole year playing against the SEC...

3,500 yards
20+ TD
<8 INTs
First-Team All-SEC , All-American, SEC Champ. Game MVP

Geaux Tigers. Beat Everybody.

He is working his arse off this summer.

It is a lot different than what he was going at this time last year.

Cam has him throwing (unsupervised of course) every day to his receivers and his diet is also regimented to help increase his maneuverability.

When a guy is not overweight his diet isn't going to change his lack of maneuverability nor increase speed. Slow and heavy footed is slow and heavy footed. If the OL pass protection and receivers play is much improved and Mett gets the ball out quick then he won't get pummeled as much in the backfield.

2 words that will determine what kind of year Mett will have: PLAY ACTION

Especially if Hill can dominate like he did last year.

I agree with the use of play action... add in better TE utilization will make our offense run much smoother this year.

Mett wasn't overweight last year so how would a better diet help his lead feet?!?! Absurd.

I expect Mett to marginally improve, but nothing big. No matter how much we all wish for him to be more, he is what he is.

Reducing BF can easily help with footspeed and quickness.
