Funny you ask this question, for several months I've had the sensation that LSU will face Duke in the NC game. IDK why. But, to answer the question, I think it would be Emmitt or Days or Taylor. But nobody can really guard Zion and he isn't the only talented player on that team. Emmitt did guard Zion in HS. when their teams played each other Emmitt scored like 9 points and grabbed like 10 rebounds, Zion had like 30 something and like 7 or 8 boards. I can't recall the exact numbers right off the top of my head, but those are close. That being said, Emmitt's team won.

Dude, I was watching the UL vs Duke game and don’t believe the crap they said after the game. They had given up that game at one point but UL was too dumb to win it. UL was up by over 20 for several possessions and would go down and jack up a 3 with 20-25 seconds on the shot clock. At first, Duke was doing it too but then they made a few baskets and UL just totally fell apart. On one possession, everyone but one guy from UL was down the court on their offensive end and the other UL guy turns his back to the duke team looking back at the one guy in the backcourt so the duke guy just runs up and steals the ball. They should throw that tape away.

Don’t get me wrong, Duke is a great team but that wasn’t their greatness that won that game. Watch the first half and you will see how to beat Duke.

2-3 with a mix up matchup 1-3-1. Make duke win with 3s from the white kid and Reddish.

If it was as easy as watching, knowing, and doing, I imagine Louisville would have done it for the second half too.

They just fell apart in the last 10 minutes. It was painful to watch. Even some analysts say this is the defense to beat Duke though. Virginia used the same defense and stayed right with them in spite of Duke shooting an unreal 3 pt percentage in that game. I am not saying any team can beat them but in the tourney you just have to use this defense, hope they don’t get lucky from the 3 pt range, and have a good offensive game plan. We have a team that can do this. Will we? I am not sure, but I choose to believe we can if we get to play them. Bring it on, we ain’t skeerd!

A. Marlon Taylor is our best perimeter defender by far

B. Zion isn’t a perimeter player

Zion could play in nba today. We have no one to match him. We need a garrett temple-esque a la jj reddick performance to slow him. ZW is better than most nba players today.

I haven't watched them enough I suppose. I can't imagine Skylar trying to guard him, but maybe you're right. That's why I was asking. He just seems to be way, way to big to me for Mays to handle.

D has to bring help when he gets inside no matter who guards him outside so use the best guy.

Naz has the size and athletic ability to cover him

Is this a joke? No he does not, and if he does try to guard Zion, he will foul out in 5 minutes

Skylar Mays would no doubt NOT guard Zion.

It would be Naz, when not Naz perhaps a combo of Emmitt/Days/Bigby/Marlong just to keep him off balance. Zion isn't a god. Zion wants to offensive rebound and drive. He's a 29.8% 3-point shooter. Duke will NOT win the national championship. They win currently because no one can match their physicality on the boards or match their length. Naz would play 5-6 feet off and he's GREAT at taking charges. I think LSU would be able to get Zion in foul trouble quickly. RJ Barrett is definitely the more difficult cover.

LSU would be a very difficult matchup for Duke. I feel like many people have not even watched Duke this year. The way we attack the rim and with Naz able to shoot 3's, we would be difficult for them. Duke is a tough matchup for anyone, but I promise you in terms of teams Duke would not want to see, LSU is right up there.

A guy like Zion is huge...he's bigger than and more athletic than everyone on the court. But how would Zion do when he's guarding Naz? Zion LOVES to roam and come out of nowhere to get highlight blocks...I dare him to leave Naz wide open on the outside.

Let me guess...you watch a lot of ESPN and just read headlines? He's a fantastic athlete that is 6'9 270. The guy can't shoot. Until he starts shooting better, he's not remotely better than "most NBA players"

shite, the guy isn't even the best player on his team.

They definitely shite the bed, but if you watched that game and can't give Duke a sizeable portion of the credit for that, I don't know how to proceed. The press and absolutely rabid defense combined with clutch shooting was something to behold. If they played like that all game every game, they'd have to cancel the tournament now.

Of course they won't, and they are beatable, but I'm not going to pretend it's simply a matter of the right scheme. That team is ridiculous.

I hope we see them and get the chance. It means we've gone a long way, and anything can happen.

So for 8 minutes of a game they looked great so the tournament needs to be cancelled?

Let’s play that game: if LSU played like they did vs Missouri in the last 2:30 and for 5 minutes in the Arkansas game, and for 10 minutes in the akentucky game, and the 2nd half vs Auburn blah blah blah blah blah.

Duke is one of their big 3 getting into foul trouble friom leaving the dance early. They won’t be able to win 2nd weekend games if all of their Big 3 aren’t playing well
