I was a senior in high school and brought my new/last girl friend to her first LSU game. We have since attended many LSU games together with hopes of many more to come.

I was 13, stood in the aisle with my older sister in the student section. I can attest that it was packed. Like sardines.

I was there. Wickersham's best game especially with the long ball. I believe Washington came in ranked #7.
It was a night game as 90% of home games were back then. Sorry, just couldn't resist.

I was there. It was my first year of high school but luckily I had been able to attend a few games prior, going back to 1977.

I remember them announcing the record crowd. I think it was the first time we had more than 80,000 at a game there.

It was a fun game.
I had 50 yard line seats on the west side about half way up near some UW people and it was fun to watch their mood change as the game wore on.
UW and Don James had a lot of hype preceding the game but back in those days fans relished these OOC Games with a bit more of an underdog mentality.

My other memory of that day is buying a case of beer (I was underage but no ids were required in those days) at the little store across Nicholson North of campus. I think they had crabs on game day there too. Beer, youth and football.

I was in Tiger Band and the stadium was rocking from Pre-game until the end. Incredible atmosphere.

As was the case with many games I attended back then, the group that I went with didn't have tickets. Somehow we always managed to find some before the game. Me and my brother inlaw ended up sitting together on the 40 yard line pressbox side in boxed area. I remember kicking back and thinking so this is how the other half lives! I remember never once feeling that LSU was in danger in that game. It was as easy a win as I can recall.

There, student section back when it went to the 50 yard line, about 1/2 way up on 35. GREAT game. I remember lots of passing.

Me too. I remember thinking the attendance shown in the paper the next day was a misprint since it was so far removed from the the normal sellout games. I remember Jerry Stovall commenting about the sizable crowd that night saying he was impressed when you looked at the crowd you couldn't see the aisles for all the people. To this day I wonder why/how so many people were let into the stadium for that game.

I was there. South end zone, upper deck. I remember looking across at the students section. You couldn't distinguish the aisles, because they were packed with people.

I was there - we were so full of optimism after that victory. But it wasn't to be.

I was there for sure, as a kid.

But wasn't this the game that they used a crane and hung a giant replay screen over the Southeast corner of the stadium, making it the first time they had instant replay in Tiger Stadium?

I was there-- Huskies saw Gary James in their sleep after that. Hodson scored in South endzone with a blind bootleg!

There, in student section. DEFINITELY the aisles in the student section were packed with people. You could barely walk the stairs.
After that year a student ID alone was not sufficient to get in games. I remember always hearing it was due to that game having a couple thousand more people in the student section than there were seats.

My wife and I was in NEZ, there were people sitting in aisles, great game, washington was sick of Hilliard, team was better than record that year.
