Clark is supposedly already eligible for now due to Kentucky case decision last week. Dessert is expected to be cleared soon.

Clearance Expected Soon

Brice Dessert (Center): Reports indicate that the French center, who went undrafted in 2025, is expected to receive final clearance very soon, making him eligible just ahead of the season opener.

Gilad Levy (Center): The international center from Israel remains in the final stages of the eligibility review process.

Skyy Clark is the most iffy of the three.

If we get Clark and Dessert, we are a tournament team IMO. Probably have at least a decent shot even with just adding Dessert with what we have now. But I tend to be a pumper, so take that with a grain of salt.

You’re not being a sunshine pumper thinking we’re an NCAA team with Clark and Dessert. This would be far and away our biggest and most athletic team since 2006.

I don't think I am either, but I also know that this is my bent. So I generally leave the possibility that I am leaning that way.

Yes but college basketball as a whole is bigger and more athletic in 2026 than it has been. I assume it will take a slight step back next year when all these Euros won't get eligibility.

Wade is expecting three starters back, we have a top 5 class coming in, and we’re going to work the portal once again. I’m sure we’ll be fine.

With the expanded tournament field it better be a tournament team. Anything less would be highly dissapointing.

I think the 2015 team and 2019 teams were pretty damn athletic. If Dessert gets cleared, this should be a very high level frontcourt. The backcourt is a little more "iffy". The talent is there. We'll just have to see if the consistency is there.

All in all, this looks like a Wade team. Attack the rim, get to the line, bludgeon people on the offensive glass. The team SHOULD have the pieces to be good defensively. But that and defensive rebounding (which has been a big problem in the 1st two exhibition games) have to be proven.

If you want to compare Wade LSU teams this (projected) group looks as close to the 18-19 SEC Champ team as any Wade had before or after.

Everybody in the NBA can go get a bucket. You have to offer something else if you want to stick around in that league.

But yea, he walked away from $30 million with the Nets.
