Girlfriend's sister is getting married the day we play Miss State. The wedding was suppose to be next April or something and they pushed it up to the same day we play Miss State, like come on.

Sounds like someone got knocked up and they moved the date up so she wouldn't be showing in her dress.

Because I like to enjoy watching football with my friends after a long week at work?

I've been in this situation. Had a wedding to go to for the 07 Florida game. Everyone ended up at the open bat during the reception and someone from the wedding party walked in and started screaming at everyone. Literally everyone turned around and was just like "what did you expect?" They had to move the cutting of cake and speech to the bar area where the TVs were.

similar story with the Saints playoff game at SF in January 2012. Most of the guests are packed into this small bar area where there is one TV. Game is tight and people are going nuts for every play.
Bride rolls in with tears running down her face and her mom turns the TV off and yells "this is a wedding you assholes"
Half the guests hit the door to find the nearest TV.

One of my best friends got married during LSU Georgia game in 2003. I didn’t go. We are still friends. They divorced.

Worst I've seen is my buddies cousin (who is a huge duck hunter) let his wife schedule their wedding on the Alabama game, which also happened to be opening day of big duck season.

Needless to say, he's a pussy

Sister got married during LSU@Tenn 2006 Russell to Doucet. Watched the final quarter at the Omni Hotel Bar during the reception at near by Brennan’s.
Sister’s wedding was way more important than LSU.

Friends on the other hand, know me better. They know how much I love LSU, so if they invite me to their wedding on Game day it’s their fault for wasting an invite.
I usually send a gift and wish them a good day.
After all it’s their day, to enjoy with each other. I won’t make or break it.

I had to go to a wedding on 11/5/2011. I DVR'ed the game, turned off my phone, and threatened death upon anyone who even thought about spoiling anything about the game.

Luckily, the feeling I had at 4:00am made it all worth it.

How dare someone think life is more important than a football game you aren’t playing in.

I was lost, drunk, trying to find my way back to the RV in Tuscaloosa, with an ex who was dating a Bama graduate. I put it through the upright for the win

Alright frick stick. If you've ever been to an LSU football game you know it's more than just a football game. it's a chance to relive old memories, see old friends, and enjoy some great Louisiana culture. And it only happens 7 times a year and it's only been getting more difficult and cheapened by a greedy administration. There are 52 weekends to get married. I understand there's other factors but I don't think it's that asinine to be upset at this. LSU football games are a huge investment for a lot of people and a much needed break from life's stresses

Dude. Other people’s lives don’t revolve around your football watching schedule.

If it’s that big a deal don’t fricking go.

But it’s a complete a-hole move to bitch about other people’s lives not revolving around LSU football.

No, but when half of your guest list don’t show up or your reception turns into one huge game watching party on someone’s phone don’t be surprised.

No it’s because you think other people should tailor their personal lives to your schedule.

LSU football is great but it is not the end all be all to everyone. Be an adult and get over it.
