I think it favors LSU.

I'm more worried about Drake than Henry.

Bad field conditions hurt Drake more than Henry or any of LSU's RBs.

Rumors no more... My sources have confirmed that this is true.

Who do you think rain hurts the most?

It hurts LSU's offensive line the most. Tougher to get footing and tougher to get out to the perimeter and second level.

Drake has been a bit of a non-factor this year unfortunately, so I think this concern is a bit unfounded.

Stipulation: These teams are very much alike. That is, one is not particularly faster, heavier, taller, quicker, or more atheletic than the other.

So here's the deal on weather: It exists. Football games are played in it. Both teams have to deal with it.

Regarding rainy weather in particular: Again, both teams are relatively similar and both have to deal with it. It would be fair to say that, depending on a great number of conditions (including amount and duration of rainfall, turf management, field drainage capabilities, etc., etc., ad nauseam) it is generally harder to quickly start, stop, or change directions the wetter the field is.

For this reason, it is always safe to assume that defenses will face challenges because they always chase the offense, which already knows where it is trying to go. The place kicking game, due to the requirement for the kicker to plant his foot, could also face challenges.

Beyond that, equivalancy is the rule because -as already stated- both teams are relativley similar and both have to deal with it.

One team has a mobile QB, one does not. A running QB who runs with a purpose puts LBs and DBs on skates in the rain.

Deshaun Watson had a 16/93/1TD rushing stat line in the rain v ND. I'll take that action from BH in the rain.

If buga struggles in the swampy field I would put Williams in there and ride him for a while.

Don't be silly. Saban doesn't have contacts like that.

Now, the SEC office and Tom Ritter, on the other hand...

T-Bob said it well. Traditionally the rain hurts the team that wants to throw it more, in this case Alabama. However, when Alabama throws it more this year, that's when they are turning it over. So....

The only game Fournette played in the rain, his footing was not planted enough to really get his numbers.

I think it hurts the run. I am not sure about Henry.

On the other hand, our passing game was great in the monsoon against WK and their passing attack is not their strength.

WHO KNOWS!

What I hate about it is that it ends up as an excuse or reason. If we win, Bama says that's the only reason we beat them. If we lose, this is our fans excuse too.

I'd rather a clear, dry day. No excuses.
