I guess I'm getting old. The best all-around player, three-time All American defensive back and offensive specialist, Tommy Casanova. I remember seeing this guy lay out John Hannah on a punt return against Alabama. The 290 lb. man considered by many to be the greatest offensive lineman in history. Casanova was blocking on that play instead of returning it and caught Hannah under his chin and laid him on his arse.

A lot of great players through history, but that one play will forever be in my memory.

Also, Ronnie Estay was the greatest 230 pound defensive tackle in history.

Must not have been alive during Kevin Faulk years. He literally turned the program around. Single most important player/recruit we have had in the last 30 years, maybe ever.

And this is why LSU hasn’t had superior qb play in the last 10 years. Straight up shade and disrespect thrown at the best qb LSU has had in the last 20 years. He was the last LSU quarterback to make all sec.

G Mitchell? Bright?
C Shaq
F Swift or Bass
F T. Mitchell, Thomas or Simmons

Temple has had a nice pro career but had no offense in college.

Kevin Faulk, Rondell Mealey, Rohan Davey and Herb Tyler all looked better than they were because they all ran behind Alan Faneca.

quote:

OL Faneca most dominant LSU lineman ever

hard to argue but Andolsek was the most ferocious player in LSU history. Faneca had an uncanny list of tools for a big man but he was not near as scary as Big E.
