It's a shame that Justin Vincent isn't on more of these lists. fricking Tigerland.

Honorable mention - Scott? Scott's not in the top 20. Fournette is certainly in the top 5. I'd replace Alexander with him. You put Scott ahead of Hester, Fournette, Toefield, Ridley, Addai, James, Blue, Harvey Williams...

Statically, Scott had a great season. I'm not putting current players on the list either

Dalton Hilliard was the most electrifying back we have ever had. He was a Gayle Sayers type but with less speed. Some of the moves he possessed was unbelievable. Definitely in the top 3. Cannon was ahead of his time and the only Heisman winner. Number 1. The others between Alexander, Faulk(2), Hester(5, production), Taylor, Ridley, etc.

Fournette is great. I feel like Guice will out do him though
Now that is funny, considering that many on here proclaimed LF7 as a lock for 4 Heismans.

You can't be serious.
Charles Alexander rushed for over 4000 yards in his career (remember, only 11 game seasons back then). Was a two-time first team All-American. Finished top 10 in the Heisman twice (5th in 1978). Set 27 LSU records. Finished second in the nation in rushing in 1977.
Fournette had a good year, but let's pump the brakes on elevating him over Alexander. Does Fournette have that potential? Probably, but he's not there yet. Don't disrespect Alexander by leap-frogging Fournette based on potential.

Kevin Faulk
Jim Taylor
Dalton Hilliard
Billy Cannon
Charles Alexander
Honorable mention: Jeremy Hill. Arguably the most talented and his 2013 season was possibly the best ever for an LSU back, but his body of work just isn't as big as the rest of these guys.

And still holds the single season rushing record at LSU with 1,686 yards in 1977. He easily had a better season that year than Terry Miller (who finished second in the Heisman ballot). The only RB who was better than Alexander when he played was Earl Campbell.

Hill's ypc in 2013 was off the charts.

I realize this, which is why I said he had possibly the single best season in LSU history. Unfortunately for him, he's competing with three 4k yard rushers, a Heisman Trophy winner, and a guy in the NFL HOF. For as great as Hill was, he was never selected as an All-American in college or even 1st team All-SEC, unfair or not. LSU has A LOT of guys who have played RB that would be on most school's all time top 5. It just happens to be a crowded group. It doesn't diminish what Hill is either.

Harvey Williams is THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT IN LSU running back HISTORY. He doesn't DESERVE TO BE MENTIONED in ANY elite group....PERIOD!
Hell, Art Cantrelle deserves to be ahead of this loser.
