Well, I think several freshmen will have significant playing time. But the one I believe will have an overall greater 'impact' is Apu Ika. You cannot truly and objectively measure the 'impact' and value of having a dlinman that can get into the backfield. Just because they don't have the stats doesn't mean they didn't have an 'impact'. During the spring there were several time Apu was in the backfield and didn't come away with any stats. But what he did was make the RB change his direction in the backfield allowing other payers time to get there and make the play. There were times he had a direct line to the QB and the QB had to get rid of the ball. Yea, they record some of these as hurries, but IK how close the defender has to be to the QB to gets this stat. And when you do hurry a QB you cause him to make bad throws that end up in int's or incomplete passes. I think this defense will work together very well and coordinated for the common good. Good coverage means sacks, pressured QB's means INT's. This defense will play like a 'TREMENDOUS MACHINE!!!'

Way better than Moreau? Why did he never beat him out when they were both on the team? I am not saying he will not have better stats, as maybe LSU finally utilizes the TE correctly in the passing game. I truly hope he does have better stats, FWIW.

So. Many. Receivers.

Jefferson, Chase, Anderson, Marshall, Sullivan (TE?) with Burrow & Brady. Hopefully give this offense a spark this year. Some good young talent to add in with CEH at RB also

I'm gonna go with Emery as well. We know the linebackers are stacked, secondary is stacked, real talent if not much depth on the defensive line. Burrow and his receivers are known commodities. This team will live and die in big match-ups by its running game. As much as I like him personally, our ground game took a step back last year with Brossette.

Thaddeus Moss- Moss has a huge reception vs Texas only to have his helmet knocked off when hes tackled at the half yard line to reveal a pearly white horn protruding from his forehead. Subsequently gets ejected from the game.

Because he had a torn ACL all last year. Check out the way he catches and runs after catch. Waaay better than Moreau... moreau was a great leader and locker room guy. Pettigrew is a better athlete and runner

Sullivan
In a recent interview Joe Burrow was asked which WR would jump onto the scene like Jefferson did last year and he said Sullivan. If he, Anderson, and Marshall can take that next step to go along with Jefferson and Chase......

Yes many were high on Emery and Stingley, but believe Emery’s impact could be comparable to Kamara’s?

I picked Chase last time and I’m picking him again.
He showed streaks of brilliance last season and I think he wrecks shop this year.

Emery is next if he explodes through holes and makes long runs, something LSU missed last year and is used to seeing year after year.

Stingley will be a game changer and may save us in close games.

We need the new kicker to do what Cole did last year.

We’re all set to make a run now. Can’t wait for the first game.

With Delpit also in the secondary makes you wonder how teams will ever score in the air on LSU.

Because excellent offense beats excellent defense.

Do you really think so ( I wanna believe)

People are not giving enough credit. Both Charles and Deculus were playing as sophomores at positions that often take three years at which to develop. Neither was quite what we want, but they were not far off. Linemen tend to improve a lot all four years. My money is on Charles and Deculus to kick arse.

Austin Deculus was rated about the same as J. Roy, and WAY higher than Sedrick Van Pran.He will probably come into his own this year.

Dee Anderson. He’s always shown flashes but I think he will put it all together
Agreed. I forget about him sometimes tbh but that’s just because of how ridiculous the wr corps is. To think that I forget about a 6’6” wr with his skill set is a testament to the depth. I know they’re young but the talent is just insane. If they can play with discipline and the oline can protect with consistency this passing game will be very much improved.

Yeah but sometimes the ratings are wrong. I'm not saying Deculus can't do it, but he looked like the weak link out there this year. I still think he fits best at LG.

Maybe you and hanny need the definition of surprise.

I like the Terrance Marshall pick. But even he wouldn't be a complete surprise.

Everybody knows Jacoby Stevens is poised to have a break out season ...but I honestly think he could play himself into a high draft pick
