Sometimes, the best PR is not to comment and/or look at the timing. Right now, nothing more needs to be said. LSU is in the tournament and that should be the focus. WaPo wanted to throw that off, but so far, it hasn't worked. If we lose, it won't be because if that weak article.

CKM addressed it. I read an article, maybe CNN, which said they asked LSU for a comment and were directed to CKM’s comments. Nothing more needed to said at this time and now that article has been edited anyway. No need to keep any of this in the press right now and give it more attention. We have another game to play.

There was nothing in the WAPO article worth responding to. That's why there was no response. The LA Times article is a different animal, but Mulkey responded to that herself, and the LAT removed the offending phrase. If I read Mulkey right, she'd rather speak for her own program rather than have the admin or AD do it for her.
