I think you may have become unglued over this issue. Examining JJ's stats is not bashing him. He was awful last year as the stats bear witness.

Honestly, I don't know how posters can provide an honest opinion that doesn't include a concern about JJ at the QB position.

JJs inaccuracies are a mechanics problem. Krag is working on this. My point is with proper mechanics, he can sling it. He had quite a few very well thrown balls in the spring game. I looked at Simon as a beast instead of JJ as a failure. Simon is gonna knock down balls that would have been completions vs most all other teams corners.

It is the solemn pledge of us Basher Brigade members to post criticism of JJ as often as possible, repeating the same old stuff over and over and over. I mean really, how boring is it to read something new? It's way more fun to post something that has been posted hundreds of times before. It eliminates all that messy thinking and reasoning. It totally erases any suspense. Give me the same old inane stuff any day. And more importantly, post it often. That's the true Basher spirit. Honest opinion without repetition is worthless to a Basher. Discussion of any other facet of the football program is verboten without at least one Bash.

Tell me the truth, don't you get just a little thrill reading something that has been posted before? The more often it has been posted the bigger the thrill to a Basher.

Please hold back reminding us how shitty he played last year. Absolutely unacceptable against TN, McNeese and AU. He should have been put on the bench after he 1st 30 yard standout performance and rotted all year on the pine. Sorry, but you just cannot make excuses for such pathetic performances.
But he will suddenly have a light bulb go off this year ......

He led the team in tds. Him and ridley were our only offense. I do feel like people are a lil harsh on him. He was our best option and he needs to work hard and improve his game. If he does that, this team will go far.

Well..........yeah.

I mean look at Paulu's post that follows mine. How many times do you think he has posted something about how horrible JJ was (is?)? How many time has he cited the same game performances? How many times has he written pathetic?

Does that get tiring?
NO
Does that get boring?
NO
Does that get stale?
NO
Does he care if it's inane?
NO

Too bad you won't. You have somehow managed to take your suckage as a poster to a new, almost uncharted level. Eventually your nephew will finish his eligibility (mercifully) and you can go back to whatever else you were doing before Les handed him the keys to the Ferrari he keeps driving off the road.

Hey No Sense - I was only responding to someone who listed the stats.
Trying to defend the ineptness for the last 2 years at QB is what is so comical.
I will not expect anything more from JJ this year as he has shown the last 2 years. If he "blossoms" after 3 years on the field and with a new OC, great however, I no longer see a reason to get upset by expecting good (not great) play from an LSU QB. If Miles finds bad play from an experienced QB he recruited to be acceptable, it should be good enough for everyone.

I like the "keys to the Ferrari" line. It's not used as much as a lot of them. It sort of imparts a Magnum PI machismo aura to the poster, don't you think?

My nephew?

Oh

That's absolutely the funniest thing I have read today. How do you remember these gems? Do you have them written down someplace? That's one of the nicest things about the Basher Brigade Brotherhood, they keep on recycling old insults as well as old criticisms. We never let the notion of originality slow us down do we?

Pauly, Pauly, Pauly.
Do I sense a regression from your militant Basher past? Say it ain't so. We Bashers don't care what Miles wants. It's what WE want that is important isn't it? I mean we are the reason the program exists, right? Don't let the Pumpers discourage you. Keep on Bashing. The Basher Brigade has your back. Chin up old man. Keep up the aggressive attacks on JJ. You can do it. You have the stuff. Don't ease up for a second. The entie Basher Brigade supports you.

Is that really your argument? Unless you run a triple option, the QB should lead the team in touchdowns.

I think too much blame is put on Jefferson. Most of the time, his passes are decent. It's our receivers who need to work on catching and holding on to the ball.

Thankfully, I think next year, it won't be as much of an issue as it was this past season.

Lee won't start barring injury.. but I'd guess 50-70 with Lee. Throws too many picks still.

Yeah, that one interception in 89 attempts is just too damn many. Forget 2008, totally different year.

A Ferrari??? You are kidding...right??? More like a 10 year old VW bus.

You might need to refresh your memory banks as to what was going on with LSU football when JJ took those keys. Unranked, beat like a drum, and sliding downhill fast doesn't equate to Ferrri like in my book.

JJ has had enough problems on his own...you really don't have to make up chit to slam him with, but each to our own.

Give me another team with 3 five stars at WR, 2 of which were the NUMBER ONE RECEIVER IN THE NATION THEIR SENIOR YEAR. Surrounded with talent = Ferrari

With JJ alone = 40-60

With Lee alone = 50-80

With Mett alone = 20-70

With Mett starting after game 3 and JJ as the change of pace guy = 20-30

those that like to blame everything on Jefferson have very selective memeory. Wish they would just give it a break.

A 1000 yard rusher, 3 starting WR's that were 5* recruits and a freak of a TE that no one could cover? Some might think that is a fair amount of talent around the weak link of our offense. When he could never get past his primary receiver, wouldn't release the ball unless his primary had 5 yards of separation, and even then, either caused a divot in front of them or airmailed it half the time even when the receiver WAS wide open, then, yeah, the Ferrari did run like a VW bus. Different driver, like any other starting LSU QB in recent times, (other than possibly Marcus Randall), and it could have run like a Ferrari.

Don't even talk about the year before when we wasted Richard Dickson, and largely, Brandon LaFell's senior season...
