I don't want to interrupt your rant, but wasn't Dickson injured most of the season?

Just to refresh my memory did Jefferson complete any passes? Accroding to you
quote:

. When he could never get past his primary receiver, wouldn't release the ball unless his primary had 5 yards of separation, and even then, either caused a divot in front of them or airmailed it half the time even when the receiver WAS wide open,
it would appear that he didn't.

Didn't one of these highly rated WR recruits not get drafted?
How was La Fell harmed? Wasn't he drafted?
You are a little inconsistent it seems.

Predicted 1st rounder after JR year, came back and went in the third. Does that sound like harm to you?

No - Miles must have 100% support. He is here to stay and we just gotta get over all angst if we have a shitty arse offense again.

you do know that Lafell led the SEC in TD receptions in 09 right? and jJ threw all of them to him? he was 4th in receptions. his yds were down from 08, but not that bad. his 40 time and hands hurt his draft stock, not JJ.

LAFELL 2008 STATS

REC 63 YARDS 926 TD 6 wit JL mostly, Hatch, JJ 8 rec 157 yds with a TD the last 3 games

LAFELL 2009 STATS

REC 57 YARDS 792 TD 11 with JJ mostly and JL threw him one TD. 2 rec 54 yds with a TD in La Tech game.

You are saying about 6 rec 134 yds caused him from going in the first to going in the third? He had 3 more TDs that more than compensated for that.

And Dickson was injured most of the year.

Shep played his first year ever at WR last year so you can cut it out with your 3 5* nonsense.

Scott couldn't even get 600 yards before being injured at Bama.

He was handed a good looking car with nothing under the hood.

If you want to think having one R in the top 150 of R's, #45, for catches equates to Ferrari like performance in 08, knock yourself out.

I don't.

The car JJ was handed the keys to was on life support and hadn't functioned anything like a Ferrari once SEC play started.

You got a lot of conjecture going on there, but I can accept a Ferrari body with a VW bus under the hood cause the team was struggling when the keys were passed.imo

JJ fanboys...Blinded to the point of being laughable. No point in arguing this anymore. The JJ fanboys will back him up no matter what and it has zero to do with performance. No matter what stats you put in front of them, their opinion will never change. I have a funny feeling they won't support Mett the next couple of years either. Something tells me Randall will become their new favorite.

Lol instead of discussing something you pull the face card, typical.

Those stats above prove JJ had nothing to so with LaFell going in the third.

And ended up as a NFL starter as a rookie, but only drew a third round contract. So, one might say that was harm ($$$). Richard Dickson caught more TD's in the BCS NC game than he did his entire senior season (and after being 2nd team all-SEC in 2008). So one might say that was harm.

I could have but I didn't. I think there is a big difference between the mentality of the team then and now.

Do us all a favor. When LSU curbstomps Oregon, continue to criticize the team. Stay off the bandwagon. Sell your season tickets. Support Nick Saban.

As I recall, he hit like 11 of his 1st 12 in the Peach Bowl to jump start LSU to a 35 point 1st half.

That must be where all this sports car stuff is coming from.

What says it all to me is Shep's quote. Paraphrasing he said with JJ its all mental. One play he does great then the next its like come on Jordan.

Actually he was probably defending JJ because it probably should have been one play he does great then the next four plays it is like come on Jordan.

Seriously having a mentally weak qb is not the recipe to win a natl championship. Do you guys really think the guy who could only put up 4 total yards against McNeese St, 47 against ULM and go 3-10 for 30 yards and 2 INT's vs Tenn, is going to magically turn into a competent qb? He sucked 9 out of 13 games last year and the three games I mentioned above were 3 of the worst teams we played.

I think he will do OK against Oregon, he has shown he can master a game plan if given 2 weeks or more but the following games concern me greatly. No week off for a good bit.

he'll be ok, Rudy. if he's not, the Kragster's on to the next one.

In my opinion you cant put Krags success or evaluation based on JJ. You can only work with what you have got and based on JJ's quotes about deserving to be the starter since he has been here 3 years and his quotes last year after McNeese game that he thought he played fine. As well as Shep's quote I think Krag's work is more than cut out for him just to get JJ to the level of a mediocre qb.

Why do you leave out the 2009 season like it never happened? He put up 3 passing touchdowns his first true sophmore game but he still got berated for that. 2009 doesn't mean he'll be productive in 2011, 2010 doesn't mean he'll be horrible in 2011.

I would like to believe that the affect of not having Crowton and a true QB will elevate his passing game and have him around what he should have had last year if he progressed from 2009. And with the fact that he is getting faster, more elusive, examples from the spring game and the reports that he is beating rbs, I think we are pretty set with a possible true dual threat QB.

I meant on to the next QB. and I think Kragz gets him back to at least his 09 numbers, if not a little better.

I also think we saw what Les wants the offense to look like in the Cotton Bowl. if not the specific plays, then at least the approach. which is pounding the ball with the RBs, mixing in some option, and taking more shots downfield. I think we can be pretty successful doing that.

e won't start barring injury.. but I'd guess 50-70 with Lee. Throws too many picks still.

Could you kindly post his stats from last year. He was a freshman when he struggled with pick sixes. He still threw down field and had a high completion percentage.

Agreed, what was his picks per attempt in 08 as a freshman and JJ picks per attempt last year as a jr. I can't believe people still say how JL is pick prong and JJ is much safer with the ball..
