Right here.

LSU won't play great every single night. They'll have ups and downs, but they have enough to make the NCAA tourney. A win's a win. Now get ready for Washington State.

but i did check it out and corpus christi is sort of like a peninsula... still not technically an island though. so the islanders name is somewhat puzzling... but if they were the galveston islanders, then its all good! haha

Actually, no. Corpus is not an island nor a peninsula. It sits on CC bay, just inland from the Gulf. It's 20 minutes to Padre Island, Mustang Island, and Port Aransas, and that's why the team is called the Islanders. The bridge that someone else spoke of goes over the Harbor.

So how many teams does the weak SEC have to get into the tournament for LSU to get in? If the SEC only gets 3 or 4 teams in, does LSU make it?

P.S. Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky,...

Its early in the season thou. It is hard to say. I think we will at least have a winning record this year. Flordia and Xavier will be a good test.

To the poster who commented about the SEC being the big east football when it comes to basketball...

The SEC is a little down, but there are still PLENTY of athletes on every team and a lot of parity. In 2-3 years, who knows...could be the best conference in the nation.

You cant expect success overnight with Brady gone now.

He destroyed the program and fanbase it takes a while to build back up

Destroyed the program? Far from it.
This program went to the Final Four two years ago. It had a winning record the next season with victories over national champion Florida, Tennesse and Connecticut. Last season it was fourth in the SEC West in an injury marred campaign.

There were 2 SEC titles, 3 SEC West crowns, a Sweet 16 and Final Four in a 7 year span. How many other SEC programs can match those achievements.

Where are all those fans who claimed they would notattend any more games until Brady was replaced? There has been no change this season, proof positive that the exorbitant costs to support the football program have eroded basketball support.

"The more they stay the same. This team has NO shot at winning the west and NO shot at making the NCAA tournament. NIT is doubtful at this time. This team just does not have enough talent and there is little hope for change in the next 2-3 years. Bring on baseball (although I think they are a bit overrated as well)."

" The good thing about basketball is that rankings don't mean crap. As long as LSU takes care of business against the weaker teams in the SEC and wins a one or two against Florida, Kentucky, and Miss. St., they'll get in the tourney. Are we one of the 25 best teams in the country...probably so"

Don't worry, I have a couple of pages containing quotes from other posters who jumped off the bandwagon before SEC play even started. I did this back in the Final Four year, and it was a smashing success. Stay tuned....
