What does it mean when a team puts a player on a franchise tag(e.g. The Pat's are putting a franchise tag on Matt Cassel)
How many SEC basketball teams make the tourney?

The SEC is extremely weak this year. It's possible with the RPI of the overall conference, the SEC may only get 3 or 4 teams into the tourney. That doesn't leave a whole lot of room for error when it comes to LSU making it. Even finishing 2nd in the west may not be good enough. LSU has to win the west to get into the big dance, and I don't know if this team can be good enough night in and night out to do that.
So how many teams does the weak SEC have to get into the tournament for LSU to get in? If the SEC only gets 3 or 4 teams in, does LSU make it?

I'd go as far as to say only 3 maybe 4 SEC teams have an edge on us in that regard.
