I do expect Woody to go big game shopping this go around. Someone like Shaka Smart or Chris Beard , Drew from Baylor I really think he will and I suspect it will be after next season.

No doubt about that. Also our 3 best coaches in program history were all mid major coaches. This is not a knock or attack but I think a lot our fans view basketball through a football lens so when considering coaches to hire they think of it in that way.

I will say most LSU fans come from a football lens. It does kinda suck that the "baseball only" fans hate basketball - it's not a competition.
They think the big 3 College sports are Football, Baseball.. and whomever is winning. When actually the big 3 in College sports are Football, Basketball and probably Hockey next? <-- I'm guessing here.

He’s really good but unlike football there are a lot of really good college basketball coaches out there and McMahon makes more than over 300 of them so again unlike football this isn’t as hard as we are led to believe.
It's really not. Woodward just picked the wrong guy.

Exactly, whoever was advising on that hire shouldn’t be listened to again. You can’t expect Woody to know who’s who among upcoming bball coaches but somebody within the admin or who’s consulting on it has to.

Scotty boy isn’t a good leader if he can’t check his ego.
For being billed as the best AD in the country he is really average

They hate basketball because they're threatened by it.
They know damned well that a successful basketball program would get way more publicity nationwide and resources (deservedly so) than boring arse college baseball.
And don't discount the racial aspect in their hatred for hoops. We are talking about a bunch of good ole baws after all.

Woody hates LSU basketball and wants it to be a clown show so people support the other sports.

We don’t need to build a new arena but need to renovate the PMAC
Depends on what the goal is.
Does LSU wants men’s bball to be “respectable”? Then yea renovate the pmac.
Or does LSU want to invest in men’s bball and be a contender on par with the football and baseball programs? If that’s the case LSU has to build a new arena and facilities.
I’m guessing LSU goes the renovation route.

Want Mac to make it....if he doesn't, Bob Huggins is available.

T.J. Otzelberger, Iowa State Cyclones
I'm all in for Beard or Wade.

There is a lot of legitimacy for your thought. But I actually think the most vocal ones here have adopted the contrarian point of view. It’s as they read LE and say, yeah I need to do that. Lol.
There is no way puff and grath and mndidiot47 and bb whatever and tpk and LE all align unless it’s an orbit of dummies that keep pulling in more with an idiot gravitational pull.

Scott cant even manage his own body. Disgusting lard arse. And we let a guy who cant handle his own weight run an athletic department?

It’s probably more of a lateral move.
That was my first inclination, or even that LSU was a step down. However, given what is happening in the SEC and the coaches all lining up here he might see that as a challenge.
Not sure about buyouts and all that mentioned though, that may make it a non-starter.

A coach they should take along look at after they boot Mcloser to the curb is Pinto at New Mexico he as built a serious winner at New Mexico, just like when Mussilmen went from Nevada to Arkansas and built Arkansas into a every year tournament team. Pinto could do that at LSU!
